How to change the undertone of your foundation

Tip: Change the undertone of your foundation by using eyeshadows to custom match your skin tone. 



Foundations come in four different undertones:

  1. Warm
  2. Cool
  3. Neutral
  4. Olive

You will need the following products:

  1. Neutral Foundation
  2. Orange Eyeshadow: (Chickadee)
  3. Green Eyeshadow (Olive You)
  4. Pink Eyeshadow (Pinky Promise)

Warmer Tone: 

If your foundations are too pink on you, you need to add orange to it to make it warmer. Add a small amount of your foundation on the back of your hand. Scrape a bit of your orange eyeshadow (Marlena uses Chickadee) with a clean, dry spatula. Mix the foundation and orange eyeshadow together to create a warmer tone foundation which has more of a yellow undertone.

Cooler Tone: 

If your foundations are too yellow on you, you need to add pink to make it cooler. Add a small amount of your foundation on the back of your hand. Scrape a bit of your pink eyeshadow (Marlena uses Olive You) with a clean, dry spatula. mix the foundation and pink eyeshadow together to create a cool tone foundation which has more of a pink undertone.

Olive Tone: 

If your foundations are too pink and too yellow, you need to add green to make it an olive shade. Add a small amount of your foundation on the back of your hand. Scrape a bit of your green eyeshadow (Marlena uses Olive You) with a clean, dry spatula. mix the foundation and green eyeshadow together to create an olive tone foundation which has more of a green undertone.
