There's A Very Fine Line Between Just Right And Overworked!!!
I was on the fence about which color pair to get. I'm kind of in the middle ground of medium fair and dark fair {if that makes sense?}, so I got Fair/Light and Light/Medium. If one was too dark or light I would let my mom have the other one. Long story short, she didn't like it, so now I have both.
\n
\nThe first time I used it, it was a nightmare! Cakey, settled in my lines, looked too orange (used Medium that particular time). Anything that can go wrong with a concealer did go wrong, and I was bummed. But I didn't give up. A few days after that mishap, I sat down with a makeup cleansing wipe, my brushes and the concealer, for a solid 45 minutes and worked with it, trying to figure out what I did wrong.
\n
\nHere's the bottom line: LESS IS MORE!! After the most IRRITATING 45 minutes in my recent memory, I figured out that a VERY small amount goes a long way, you can't blend it with your fingers or it'll move around too much, and [for me] it's best to use a concealer brush to apply & blend, then use MUG's soft dome brush to set with powder AFTER it's been allowed to dry for a few minutes. Over foundation or under foundation = CAKE, btw. Don't let it dry for a few minutes and set with powder= CAKE. Blend with a finger= PATCHY / UNEVEN. It would be perfect on one part of my dark circle and right underneath the lovely part would be an area where the circle was showing through. Not cute!
\n
\n I've never bought a concealer that was this tricky to apply and get to look decent. Be prepared to have to figure out the best way to apply it that works for you. Also, a good hint is, if it shows up too orange on your complexion, it's probably too dark.
\n
\nIs it worth almost $40? In my opinion, no. Eve Pearl: Keep the color. It does its job at correcting dark circles, but reformulate so that it's not so slippery!!!
