does it matter what kind of eyeshadow finish (matte, veluxe, etc.) you use in ur crease vs. as a highlight or all over lid color?

btw your video is so helpful thanks!

This is a beautiful bridal look! I love the lip color!!! So rosy and nice. I have a lot of MAC pigments but not Vanilla pigment. I know you said that “it’s a versatile color” but do you think it’ll look fine on warm undertone skin type (I’m Asian in NC35 MSF). I’ve seen almost everyone using Vanilla pigment and I’m thinking of getting one. Thanks! Love this look!!

I agree, it is a beautiful look! Thanks again. This is a great summer look as well, I think.
I have already learned so much here and it makes fun to try all these looks myself :)

Thankyou so much for this look. I saw it on you tube and now i came on your website to view the pics you took of this look!!! Im deffintely gonna try it….B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!!!!!!!

Hi Lanie, Vanilla will work just fine with your skin tone. Pursebuzz raves about the pigment also, although she may be lighter than you…. But I’m pretty sure you will love it :)

Jennifer, I usually prefer a Satin or Matte finish in the crease, but by all means you don’t have to. As long as you don’t have the same finish all over the lid, you’re fine :) (just my preference…)

OMG THANK YOU SOOO MUCH MARLENA!!!!! i didn’t think you’d be able to do the tut so fast!! i love this look! im gonna practice it as much as possible so that i can get it down pat for my big day!

I am getting married in March and so this is very helpful! what products would you recommend to ensure the makeup lasts all day? eg a foundation primer? the MAC fix+?

You have no idea how much you helped me out with my first bride!
You are an incredible artist

Oi td bem !
Eh muito lindo suas maquiagem amei tds,nw entendo direito muito o q vc fala.
Mas vc e muito talentosa, obrigada por vc fz videos para que nossos possamos aprender.

Hi Marlena! Thank you for posting this video! I have definitely learned a lot as far as the power of blending eyeshadow. I had no clue about that before! I typically favor the shimmery eyeshadows, but now I realized that matte or satin eyeshadows are a must! Before your video, I was going to go with a smokey gray eye for my bridal makeup, but after hearing your tip about not having too much focus on the eyes in your pictures that makes a lot of sense!

I had a few questions for you, why did you decide to use a pencil eyeliner over a cream eyeliner instead of using an eyeliner brush? Also, I’ve noticed I don’t like to use pencil eyeliners because they tug or don’t sharpen well. I tend to like the L’Oreal Kohl pnecils, but the brown pencil doesn’t show up very well. Which eye pencils would you recommend? Also is the Benefit “Lemon-aid” comparable to the Urban Decay Primer Potion?

Okay I’m a newbie when it comes to this stuff. I LOVE what you did with the blending of the make up. I normally just throw on some Almay brown liner [for blue eyes :) ] and black brown mascara lol. I was wondering how it would look with a lighter complexion and blue eyes? Where do I get the eyeshadows and vanilla pigment you used and how much they cost? My wedding is in March of this year, and I really want to wear this look at my wedding. Hope to hear back!

Is there a cheaper alternative to the bobbi brown shimmer brick? I’m looking for something I can easily purchase in stores and the bobbi brown counter is screaming “I’m expensive” every time I walk by.

Fab look! Can you suggest any alternative colors like NYX products or flirt products? You are a fantastic artist, thank you so much for your help in advance. -ashlee

I love your highlights! I’ve always wanted to have that color but I always get it wrong…So I would really appreciate it if you can tell me what color is your hair….I just love it!

Hey guys my mom is getting married soon and she doesn’t have a lot of money so we’re doing our own makeup. The colour scheme at her wedding is yellow. The flowers are purple and yellow, and some coral. The jewelery is all silver. I am fourteen and very pale, the lightest colour in covergirl aqua smooth. I have bluey-grey eyes and dirty blonde hair but I maybe be dying it a darker brown for the wedding. I also have freckles and combination skin. Can someone reccomend the best way to use mac and drugstore products for her wedding. Thanks sooo much.
