Where to buy:

Overall Opinion:

  • Dandelion –  This was too light to me. O_O I don’t quite get how pale you must be if you want to show this at all.
  • Bella Bamba –  Superpretty blush, one of my new favourites!
  • Erase Paste – This was too dark (well, pink/orange) for me, so I haven’t really used it. It seems to be quite opaque, but
  • Benetint – I don’t quite get these. They seem to stain instantly, how do you apply them to you cheeks? I can use these on lips, but not really on cheeks.
  • Posietint – See above.
  • Ooh La Lift – This claims to give you an instant eye lift, but I haven’t seen any effect.
  • High Beam – Beautiful highlighter, maybe a bit too cold shade for me, I hope Moonbeam would work better.
  • That Gal – Nice primer, makes skin smoother, but doesn’t work or “slide” as well as Porefessional.
  • The Porefessional – This I love. If makes my skin so smooth. I NEED fullsized version of this!
Overall I think this set is great if you want to try several products from Benefit, but don’t want to buy the full-sized products.

I just bought this set! The tints work best if you rub them in immediately and if you aren’t wearing much makeup. I love the cheek color they give me, but I wouldn’t use it if I was wearing full foundation and powder. The erase paste works best for me under the eye and around my nose. I’m pretty fair and it blends in well if you use it under foundation. I liked the Oh la la lift again if I wasn’t planning on wearing much makeup that day. I don’t really care for the dandelion powder either. They say you just dust it all of your face and it gently brightens but I can’t see it at all.

The stains are tricky to work with as you have to work fast. Ive found that by beading the stains onto a dense slant powder blush brush and THEN applying will give you the most fool proof application and avoid streaking. When applied to your personal satisfaction they not only last all day by themselves but also give a nice base for your other cheek products to adhere to (especially if you’re a blush, bronze AND highlight junkie like I am).

I’ve used a few of these Benefit products (this set isn’t available in Australia yet) and I really like them. I know everyone raves about High Beam, but I much prefer Moon Beam. It’s gorgeous! I always have trouble with the tints, so I only use them on my lips, too.

This is way too dinky of a set for me to consider buying! – do I like benefit products, of course, but I think they’re a bit overpriced and the quantity of what you get in this set for 32 bucks (most likely 45 in Canada) is not exactly the best bargain. What I’d really like to see is a review on the new benefit box of powder (or blush) ”Hervana” – would any of the MUG staff consider doing one, I want the product bad but I have so many blushes already and want to know if it’s unique enough to justify the price (it’s 36 bucks here in Canada plus tax).

I bit the bullet and bought Hervana and I am so glad I did! I am in love! I am very fair with pink undertones. This gives me (with a light hand, it is CRAZY pigmented) the perfect, just in from the cold flush. It’s not as watermelon as Bella Bamba, but is definitely brighter than Dandelion. I love that you can concentrate your swirling to a particular area to adjust the lightness/darkness based upon your skin tone and that the color is never exactly the same twice. It lasts all day. Like other Benefit boxes, it blends super well. I can’t say enough good things about it!

For the light colored blush to show up I think one has to be as pale as me. LOL.
I do not have, nor want a tan of any kind. I like the smooth texture of my ivory hue.

I talked to a benefit rep about the stains and she gave me a great tip on how to apply it easily without staining unevenly. Paint a little bit of the product on a angled blush brush (worked the best for me) and apply that way. It worked great for me. I become quite fond of them after that trick. Give it a go.

I use the MAC 188 to apply the tints, they have great staying power and as someone previously mentioned they work great b/f applying bronzer and highlighting powder. After applying foundation, run some tint lines to ur cheeks and quickly start dabbing and blending w/ the MAC 188 brush. Practice makes perfect and it last al day long.

Dandelion is my favorite blush. It is a subtle color that works really well on my “porcelain” colored skin.

I ‘ve used most of these products and some of them I still use. I am quite fair but not as much as you I think. Dandelion doesn’t do anything for me either , my perfect blush from benefit was thrrrob a bright beautiful pink. I only use MAC’s 188 or 130 to apply tints because otherwise I have the same problem with you, really nasty stains. I use medium erase and paste for the under the eye area is one of my favorite concealers ever but for other areas you can try benefit’s boiing. I also really like highbeam but ooh la lift is complete failure I just used it as highlighter so that I didn’t had to toss it away, it was the full product also. I really like that gal but after your review I think I ‘ll have to try porefessional. Finally what did you think about stay don’t stray? I’ve heard some nice things but I am really satisfied from my Too faced’s insurance so I am really curious about your opinion.

my friend bought this and likes it a lot. however, honestly, i think everything from benefit is junk. i think the porefessional is nice but just not something i would ever buy; i prefer smashbox’s primer to it. maybe it’s because i don’t have any true pore or skin issues and i am really fortunate for that. i don’t like the texture, pigmentation, or longevity of their eyeshadows. none of the highlighters are impressive to me; they feel paint like rather than really great for blending.

as for the blushes, i think they are super glittery and/or chalky. i don’t like them. i also never wear blush; it has to be the one makeup product i wouldn’t ever use.

I picked up trick a long time ago for using benetint cheek stain. I call it the jelly donut. Basically you can take high beam and apply it to the apple of your cheeks, but dont rub it it in yet. You then take the benetint and put a smaller circle inside of the highbeam and it looks like a little donut. Then you rub it in and voila.. beautiful pink cheeks!

I love your reviews very much ..Actually , I wait them :)…I believe you’re very honest and give down-to-earth opinions , you don’t get carried away by “Names ” or hypes ..Thanks Kata

I saw your comment about the stains – my fav way to wear the tints is to put like 5 random dots of the stain on the apples of my cheeks & then like 4 dots of moon beam and blend – they give you a great dewey flush that stays forever & looks really natural & pretty – my go-to summer blush for sure!

I don’t think That Gal is a primer, I think it’s more of a highlighter. I have mixed it with a tinted moisturizer and it gives a beautiful dewey glow.
