Urban Decay Naked Palette 3 Review & Dupes

Hi Makeup Geeks!

I know I’m a bit late, but I wanted to share with you my review of the Urban Decay Naked Palette 3. Later on I’ll be putting together a few looks and tutorials using this palette, but for now, on to the review!

1 (1 of 1)

 Packaging

Much like the Urban Decay Naked Palette 2, the Naked Palette 3 has exceptional packaging. The palette comes in a metal tin which is durable, latches well, and is great for on the go. Like the others, the Naked Palette 3 also comes with a dual ended brush that fits nicely in the tin, next to the 12 shadows.

I must be the only person alive who wasn’t totally thrilled w/ this pallet. I have had a hard time w/ the shadows lasting all day. I have tried primer potion (UD), shadow insurance (Too Faced), eye shadow helper (Lime Crime) and put a white base down under them and still by the end of my work day it is like I just used a sheer wash of pink on my lid. I think I am spoiled b/c I love my Makeup Geek eye shadows so much that nothing is going to be as good as them. :) I am still looking forward to the tutorials w/ this pallet though and really like your reviews!

Blackheart is almost exactly like MAC Beauty Marked. I own both but haven’t swatched to compare.

I absolutely love this palette! So worth the $$$. The colors are gorgeous and amazingly pigmented. For 12 shadows and a brush the price is great. 12 Makeup Geek shadows would be more than $52.

I love Makeup Geek and have been a fan for years, so this is not personal, but the dupes are nothing like the UD shadows in the naked3, sorry but if you dont have good doops, it is ok, just dont try to make it up :)

Hello, Marlena!
I just bought this palette last Monday and I love it! I have fair skin with strong pink undertones so I always have difficulties wearing what most others would consider a neutral brown palette like the Naked 1 set. This palette is perfect for me in that the shades truly are neutral on my skin tone. I wear “Limit” as my all-over lid color to the crease, “Nooner” in the outer vee, “Dust” on the brow bone, and finish with “Strange” dabbed at the inner and outer corners of my eyes. My eyes have definition but the effect is subtle and natural for my coloring. $52 is nothing when the perfect product is in your hot little hand!

What I really love about this palette that most of the colors have matte finish. I was a bit disappointed lately with the big number of metallic eye shadow palettes released in the spring 2014 collections so the naked3 is such a relief! lol

Hi

I have a question, for those of us which doesnt own either of The Naked Palettes from Urban Decay, which one would you mostly recommend?

And for myself, I have really green eyes and Brown hair With redtones in it, which of the Naked Palettes (1,2 or 3) do you think would match the most With my colours?

I love Your blog!

Is this palette good enough for an NC 42 Indian skintone…would these shades compliment a warm (yellow) skintone?
