Folks don’t need to sound so harsh. Do they realize how many people are subscribed to MUG? It’s like I explain to my students, “Please notice how many there are of you, and only one of me, be patient and I will do the best I can. I can’t answer everyone at once.” People should just be thankful that you are willing to share your talent.

Wow! Another fabulous look, as always. I’m not too keen on red lips, especially since I have olive skin, but I just might try this one out.
The difficult trick is finding the right red for your skin tone. Take your time looking and testing. Don’t buy one just because it’s popular or someone famous wears it.
I’d say with an olive skin tone you would probably be better with a warm red, and not a cool red, and not too dark.
I also think with strong lip color, the eyes need a lot of accenting, too, for balance.
And go with a friend who will give you honest opinions. Sometimes we don’t realize when something looks good, because it’s so different from our usual look.
All that said, i’ve never found a red i liked on me, either. I have dark hair and eyes, fair skin with gold undertones, and rather pink cheeks.

I still use the Double Wear as it has great coverage! I do like the Chanel as it feels nice, but the coverage is more sheer. It depends on what you’re going for- a more luminous look, or more coverage

I’ve heard from photographers that I work with (not sure how accurate it is or not), but that with digital photography now, it doesn’t matter as much if the foundation has SPF. I still avoid foundations with SPF in it just in case though…

Marlena wonderful !!! classy, sweet and so bright! Please tell me about your nails what kind of brand is it? (i guess they are uv gel enhancements). I ask cause until now i use CND gel but I’m not satisfied (i’m a nail professional too and they lift very easily and become yellow). any suggestions?

Actually, mine are acrylics- I haven’t tried gel ones yet. What kind do you recommend? I’m always up to trying new things- I’ve just stuck with the acrylics as that’s mostly what is available here… I have them done because I’m so dang rough on my nails since I do a lot with my hands- so these help my nails from cracking and breaking

How do you know if you’re warm or cool colored?
I definitely need cool colors because I have such a red complexion. If I wear any warm lipsticks (orange-y), I look horiffic.

First I would just like to say how amazingly talented you are and what a beautiful person you are both outside and inside, anyone who cares about and gives their time like you do, to not only us to help us use your ideals and styles to look beautiful, but also the ASPCA. You are a very special person and thank you a million times over for all your help and tips! Second I want to ask all these people how they afford all this expensive makeup, not a snub or being rude, but I just can’t seem to keep up. I want to be able to do all these looks, but I guess everyone has their must haves, as I stated I don’t want it to be taken the wrong way. Third and sorry for my poor grammer, I would like to thank eveyone on here for being so nice and helpful. Best Wishes To Everyone and especially to the #1 person who gives so much.
Hi Heather, I agree it’s hard to afford all this makeup, but I found if you just buy a good primer (I bought the Too Faced Shadow Insurance) it will really help cheaper drug store eyeshadows to last and blend. I also bought the CVS brush set, and it might not be as good as MAC brushes, but they are so much better than the little sponges they come with. I hope this helps.

hi…..how do u use the mac fix-spray? i mean wat is it basically for?
It’s almost like a finishing spray- it makes your face look less powdery once you apply your setting powder. So for me, I put on my foundation/concealer, powder, then spray Fix+
I also use it sometimes on my hair as a detangler- works amazing! I just bought 2 bottles yesterday at the mac counter since I go through so much

Marlena! amazing look! the eyes are awsome, I´ve always had trouble finding an eyeshadow that would work fine with red lips, you just did it! I have 2 quiestions: 1- My skin tone is near yours, and also the shape of my face, so I´m always trying to pull off those beautiful cheekbones you get but I get the feeling its going to look unnatural specially with day light… What do you suggest? and 2: I just cant use false lashes! they wont stik to my eyes!! please HELP!!
