While others wait the Oscar winners, I wait the dresses, hair-do’s and makeup of the celebrities.

Most of the looks were either “no-makeup”-makeup either with neutral lips or bold lips, or basic smokey eyes. The one that caught my attention was Jennifer Lopez’s look:

Here’s what the makeup artist used:

Celebrity Makeup Artist: Mary Phillips

  • FACE – First, Mary highlighted Jennifer’s natural glow by mixing L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup in Sun Beige ($10.95) with LaMer The Reparative Body Lotion ($180) to create a dewy but even and smooth canvas
  • CHEEKS – Mary dabbed L’Oreal Paris Magic Smooth Soufflé Blush in Cherubic on her cheeks for a subtle flush of color ($12.95)
  • EYESHADOW – Mary used two shadows to achieve Jennifer’s sultry eye: L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Eye Shadow in Eternal Black and Iced Latte ($7.95 each)
  • EYELINER – Mary created a winged cat eye with L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in Brown ($8.95)
  • MASCARA – Mary completed the high drama effect of the eye with two coats of L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara in Carbon Black ($8.95)
  • LIPS – Jennifer’s lip color was the final glamorous touch; L’Oreal Paris Infallible 8HR Le Gloss in Coral sands ($9.99)

I chose to use Makeup Geek’s eyeshadows, and as much as I liked the original, I thought it needed a bit more glamour, so I changed the lid color to gold:

If you wish to re-create the original, you can easily change Gold Digger to White Lies, Vanilla Beam or even to Shimma Shimma.

Start with priming your eye with your favourite primer:

Then apply Gold Digger (or lighter color) to whole lid:

Then I did the shape with Mocha:

I darkened and defined it with Bada Bing:

Then I blended it a bit and applied White Lies to highlight:

Then I applied a hint of NYX Jumbo pencil Milk under the “wing”:

..and blended it with White Lies:

Then I used MAC Blitz & Glitz fluidline to line my eye:

I blended the liner with Bada Bing, and used Bada BIng also to line my lower lashline:

Then I applied Isadora Inline Kajal Blonde to waterline, and added mascara:

And finally I added falsies (cheap ones from Ebay):

And the look is done!

For my cheeks I used MUD Glow blush, Make Up For Ever Matte Bronze in shade 20, and for my lips I used Palladio Paris Pink lipstick with MAC Fresh Air lipglass:
