Thank you so much for doing a tutorial using orange, lol. I have trouble finding attractive ways to use orange eyeshadow. Anybody else have this problem or am I just silly?
I like using orange eyeshadows on the lid and using purple in the crease and a really deep purple in the outer v. I think orange and purple really make a beautiful look.

I’ve wanted to try the Revlon Colorstay Foundation for a while now but every time i go to the store I get so overwhelmed by so many shades. I’ve tried placing the bottle next to my skin but I still can’t decide. I have a normal/ dry skin complexion so i don’t know if i should get that or the combo/oily since i use a moisturizer and primer before which makes my skin less dry.
Can you recommend what shade i should get?

I have everything from MAC, to BE, but right now I must say I’m kinda obsessed with Coastal Scents, they have so much pigment and last all day, oh and my new favorite eyeliner in the whole world is Tarte Clay Liner. works so well especailly on the inner rim! Just thought I would throw that out there. LOL. Anyway, I would love it if you would do a tutuorial on eyebrows, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your eyebrows, how in the world do you get them like that??? I just really started using eye shadows, mostly did the eye liner/mascara look. I’ve purchased a bunch of brushes and have purchased a bunch of shadows. I’m finding I like lighter more natural colors but I’m looking for a green color that isn’t too heave/bright. I did see your St. Patty’s day look and I tried to duplicate it but lighter and got pretty close, maybe you can lighted it up? Or demonstrate a new green look?
With starting to use more make up, I am viewing all your tutorials. I see you’ve lost weight and you look amazing. I have lost 100 lbs. myself and that is one of the reasons I’m more daring with make up.

Love the video Marlena. I know practice makes perfect but I’ve been dealing with makeup for some time now but I can’t seem to master the outer v technique. Yes I’ve looked at your video showing how to do it over and over but still can’t seem to get it. In your lastest video you do the outer v before the lid. My question is could the outer v always be done before the lid or does that not work everytime. Please help!!!
I’m the same way, can’t figure out the outer v…!!!! I wonder if it has anything to do with the shape of our eyes??? I’ve got like cat eyes and its so hard to me to try to make the v stand out.
If you have deeper set eyes, the outer v can be a little bit trickier. You may have to do a thicker line on the top “part” of the v so you can still see it and it doesnt get completely lost in the crease.

Nice look, for sure, but I wish you could get a friend with ‘small’-ish eyes to do some tuturials on – using them as a model. Your eyes are so big (& beautiful, to boot!) but what you do on yours, won’t really work very well on those of us with smaller eyes (we don’t have the ROOM for all the detail!) and it never comes out the same or right.

Your nails are so pretty. Can you tell me what you do? Are they gel? acrylic? natural?Could you do a tutorial on your nails and how you prefer them done? How often do you get them done? What would you recomend asking a nail techinician for? I used to get gels done years ago (Before having children!) I got them donw a few months ago with gels for the first time in years and it was way too thin.

Third, I’m hoping you might have some suggestions for pigmented lips. I’d love to be able to pull of a nude lip but when I try to use nude glosses (I’m allergic to lipstick), the combination of a light color and my darker lips just looks icky. Any ideas? I can use liner and gloss – just not lipstick.

Hi Natalie…. the true secret to makeup looking flawless is…. blending! Make sure there are no hard edges and the colors are diffused ( blending into eachother ) for a professional look!
Marlena has perfect features and skin. Her eyes are architectually perfect. Everyone has different shaped eyes etc. Learn your eye shape and you can tweak these looks to work best for you based on the best technique for your particular eye.

Why don’t you post a video using Nars Rated R eyeshadow palette?? I think these 2 exciting colours could be used to create some kind of “Lemon Fanta” look… I don’t know…
