  1. Excellent tutorial. I am in my late 20’s and this works for me too.
Thanks for showing the techniques, lovely color combo.

  2. Fantastic look Marlena. I tend to get a bit carried away with all the lovely colours that are available, and forget that you can have just as much a gorgeous look with just a light touch of colour! Thank you for your fabulous tutorials. I’m completely hooked. I went out and bought curling tongs yesterday, and my hair is the best it’s looked in a long time. I’m trying to grow it out, and it always looks so scrappy. Today I look neat and swish - thanks to you! xxxx

  3. i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

  4. I wish someone had explain this all to me as I was a teen ;)

  5. This is so ME! I just started with make-up, I am not a teen, but I tend to go with subtle looks. I do get brave from time to time, but just not too over the top. NYX Iced Mocha is soooooooo gorgeous. I never thought to do pink with a nice brown. Of course I had to rush out and buy all MAC eyeshadows a few months back. This leaves me asking which MAC shadows would do well for this look? Is Iced Mocha anything like Era? What is your favorite MAC pink eyeshadow? I love Jest, and Naked Lunch. I own Sushi Flower, but I am not really loving it. Don’t know what to do with it. I also own Da Bling. Thanks so much if you have a chance to get back to me. I love your site and your tutorials. :D It’s great how you use a variety of different brands. I wish I would have known about NYX, but now I have already spent a ton on MAC. Oh well.

  6. you look gorgeous, Marlena.. as always =)

what kinda brush would you recommend if one prefers to brush the nyx jumbo eye pencil to bristles first instead of drawing it. im not one with a light hand, im afraid i might put too much pressure on my sensitive lids.

    thanks

  7. Hi Vylette :)

Any flat shader brush will do :) The NYX jumbo pencils are really soft, so they should be easy on your eyes…

  8. Hi Marlena,
Do you think Loreal decrease will work well on oily lids?

  14. Hi Marlene,

What do you think about the loreal decrease? Does it work pretty well, what about compared to UDPP? Also, for drugstore brands, do you reccommend this one the most? Have you tried Sally Hansen Carmindy inspired primer, if so what do you think of it?

    Thanks,
    larac

  23. Hi!
I love your tutorial but i had one question.
My friend is looking for a teen look so I went on here and showed her this. Problem is, is that she has hooded eyes/no crease so she can’t really put that iced mocha in her “crease.” She loves the look but doesn’t know what to do!
Thanks. this could help her with other looks too. :)
    Love your tutorials Marlena!
    Tina

  24. Hi Marlena,

I am not a teen either but love this look, I think it completely work appropriate. My problem is that, I guess I have smaller eyes. Whenever I do a crease color, it ends up getting on my lid. I cant use that sonia kasuk brush, I use that as my blender and its too fluffy to use for crease, the color literally covered my lid and I had to go back over it. I guess I should just make sure to use small brushes? Any other advice? Thanks.

  25. Where can I get the ring your wearing in this video?
