  1. Gorgeous Marlena!! Your lips pop so beautifully! This look is truly an exotic gem :]

  2. This looks great on you, Marlena.

This is such a cute look that’s nice for summer because, like you said, it’s more of a focus on eyeliner vs. shadows that can melt or fade easily in the hot weather.

I didn’t think that I’d like bright pink lipstick/gloss like that, but I got some earlier today (coincidentaly!) and I love it! I need to fix my camera so that I can swatch some of these colors and post it on here…

Anyway, this is another great tutorial! Thanks Marlena!

P.S. You look like you’re getting tan!

  7. would a neutral colored paint pot work instead of concealer for the lips part?

  8. How many drops of visine do you use to amount of eyeshaow? What is the ratio?

  10. this look is GREAT!!! Pink is not my color, but imma give it a try tomorrow! thanks alot Marlena!

  11. Well what can say… Your frekin awesome!!!

  12. Hi Jennifer :)

I’m thinking a paintpot will work- I would check to see if it’s lip safe though. You could also use a bit of foundation :)

  13. Hi NinjaMom!

I add 1 drop at a time until I get almost a pancake batter consistency- I start by putting a little pigment in the lid, then add a drop or two and mix it. I keep adding a drop of Visine until it is thin enough to apply fluidly :)

  14. Hi Marlena, I just have a quick question. Can you use any Visine as a mixing medium? Thanks a lot. I love this look on you!

  15. very cute.
what’s the use of the primer?

  16. Yep- you can use any visine type product. Mine isn’t Visine- it’s Target’s generic brand as it was 1/2 the price :)

Also, the primer helps the eyeshadows adhere to the eye and make them last longer throughout the day :)

  17. Hi Marlena

i don’t have the brule e/s can i use the ricepaper or claire de lune?

  18. Hi Ivy :)
It may work, but it will be shimmery. You’re mainly looking for something that is very close to your skin tone :)

  19. You are very Beautiful and u always do a great job very beautiful!!

  20. Hi Marlena :)

I just discovered your website and I’m totally hooked. You are so talented and do a wonderful work of art :) I wanted to know how do you exfoliate your lips and what is the best foundation without clogging your pores?. Thanx hope to hear from you soon.

  21. Hello I love the 2nd Rhianna look. I love the natural look and I am always on the go so a fast natural look is what I need. My face always looks powdery and gross. I have dry skin and Ive tried every kind of moisturizers but there either oily or they dont moisturize at all. I will try the primer but I dont know if I can use concealer and primer at the same time. I am a medium skin tone and have really bad dark eye circles, HELPPPPPP. What can I do?????? I would greatly appreciate it.
