oh and about the deers..they looked funny in the picture. really random though..OH YEA i also had a question about paintpots..they are used as eyeshadows???and one other thing too ive seen in your other videos you prime ur lid, is that a thing you would advice me to get?
well thanks for this whole website really helps all of us!
-sarah
that baby dear was so cute! i always get so excited too when i see dear. i guess it’s from the fascination with bambi from a young age. lol
i meant deer.
i have a question about smudging underneath.
i have really long lower lashes, and im always confused about whether or not i should be applying the shadow underneath the lashes or right on top. help! lol
ps LOVE the baby deer! (michigan animals are so cute..my cousin lives in ann arbor)
Marlena,I love this look! You are soo Gorgeous!I have the Nars Orgasm blush too, but I think it looks way better on you..And I went on MAC.com and they have all the colors you need to do this look..They still have Perky Paintpot..yay!Well I hope its the same one..yikes..but Im sure it is ..Anyway,Thanks again!!XoxO
OH Marlena! This look is so beautiful! You look stunning in this, thanks so much for doing this look it’s one we can wear every day.
Ciao Bella!
Dee
cute baby deer
and you look beautiful as always
thanx love!<3
Beautiful as usual… Gonna wear this look today, YAY!!
Love this look!! I just have 1 question. I’ve tried everything for lining my waterline but it either disappears onto my contact lenses or spreads during the day to give my a black punched out eye look. How do you get it to stay on???
I’m with cafe on this one. Whenever I put liner on my waterline, it just disappears, or ‘bleeds’ down my face and looks like I’ve been crying (or punched, or both…). I tried setting it with eyeshadow, but that just collected in the corner of my eyes - GROSS! So I’ve given up now. Any suggestions?
It’s my birthday in two weeks, and I’ve asked for money to spend on MAC eyeshadows instead of people giving me stuff I don’t particularly want (or worse, they get the wrong thing entirely!). I will probably have enough for 5 colours, maybe 6. I love the matte, neutral shades, maybe a little shimmer. Which would you say are the top 5 or 6 I should go for? I have an olive skin tone, with green eyes and pillar box red hair (not natural I hasten to add!)
Any ideas gratefully received. You really are an inspiration Marlena, and people have started to notice I’m looking a lot more sophisticated these days. Of course I always credit you
WOW is all I can say. Thanks so much for the tutorial, Marlena!
Oh btw, I agree with Sarah, you even did it better than Rihana’s
The baby deer is so cute!
Hi Sarah
Yes- paintpots can be used like eyeshadows, but since they are creamy, they may crease without any powder like product on top. I use mine as bases for my eyeshadows. Either way, you really need a base for your eyeshadows- whatever kind you prefer…
Jessgolightly,
I have the same problem- you’ll need to get the brush up under the lashes and smudge right next to the lashline. I hope that makes sense…
Cafe and Alicat,
The best products I’ve found for the waterline is UD’s 24/7 eyeliners and Loreal HIP cream eyeliners. With the HIP one, you’ll want to get a cheap eyepencil and dip into the cream pot, then draw on your waterline. Let sit for a couple seconds and it should stay on pretty well
Alicat,
I would get Satin Taupe, Cork, Down Brown, Shroom, and Woodwinked if you want neutrals. If you would like one color, I think Plum Dressing would look good with your eyes
Beautiful Marlena! I’m so excited I have the shaddows you used in this, but I don’t have the perky. Do you think bare study would work? Or untitled paint? I also have the NYX yogurt crayon but I’;m not sure that would work.
Thanks!
HI MARLENA, thanks for this again, great tutorial as always from you.
i will do this when i go out sometime.
thanks for the tips about the use of small brushes in the lower lashline.
i always wondered how to do that.

Hi everyone!
Any neutral paintpot or crayon will do- the look will still turn out fine
Yes, there is a video on contouring…
Nireyna is a youtube makeup artist that is extremely talented- do a search for her on youtube and you’ll see her main technique called “tech-C”
