You are gorgeous!!!!! Love it
Dear Marlena
I ‘ve discovered your website thanks to my french friend Hélène (monbogdefille.com) and I’d like to thank your for all those fantastic tutorials !!!
I’m having great fun to makeup my eyes now, trying new colors, news looks I’ve never dared before, and it’s sooo great
I have some brushes and colors left to buy, basics as vanilla, n°217, but I think I’m doing a quite good job already
Thank you again !!!!!
BEAUTIFUL, Marlena! I hope you had a nice little date with your hubby! You look gorgeous!
Hi ,
I just want to say that I Love the way you do make-up, especially the eyes. I have a request, I saw this make-up look on the mtv reality show “meet the barkers”, with shanna Moakler and Travis Barker from blink 182 anyway, there’s a website that features the look but, it doesn’t show you how you achieve the look or what colors I would use. I would realy like to do this look on myself but I really don’t know how to start or what to do. Could you please, please do this look for me would realy appreciate it.You can see this look at Alexisvogel.com, and click on Makeovers, then the clip will start playing , you can right click on the video and go down to zoom and make the picture bigger or the picture might be more clear to you if you don’t enlarge the video. I would really appreciate this.

Hi Marlena,
it’s adriene again ,if you can’t do it the look that I was talking about “shanna Moakler”, could you suggest the colors you think would create this look .
Thank You,
adriene
Hi Adriene
You basically need only 3 colors- black, very shimmery white, and a soft brown color for blending.
Here’s my recommendations in MAC colors (you don’t have to use MAC, but that’s what I’m most familiar with…)
-Shroom all over the lid up to the brow
-Black Tied in the outer V, into the crease some, and smudged on both upper and lower lashline
-Omega to blend out the line where the black tied ends
-If you want extra shimmer under the brow, apply some Vanilla pigment wet
Hope that helps!
Hi Marlena , I know that you really like Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks and was wondering if you had tried it in Bronze? Also do you ever use the s.b. as eyeshadow? I just ordered it in bronze a couple days ago and can’t wait to try it out.
This look is so awesome. I think I might even like the blues on you better than the browns. Close call though. Thanks so much, I am going to try this look myself tonight for fun.
Debbie
Hi Karrah
I haven’t tried the bronze one yet- sometime I’ll get to get that one
I haven’t used them as eyeshadows as they are somewhat sheer, but it’s worth a try!
wow! you are my new favorite on YOUTUBE! your Freakin AWESOME!!
I don’t think you could ever look bad. This is a lovely tutorial. I think I need the 219 brush.
Thanks for all of the time you put into the tuts. very awesome.
Gorgeous again!
hope u had fun at dinner looking oh so pweety!!
Hi Marlena,
I am from south africa and am addicted to your video tuts. I would like to request if you could sell urban decay products on your site as we dodnot have them here. Love all your looks. U really are talented. FYI, i am a qualified Dental Th Practitioner and have given that up to pusue a career in makeup but donot know where or how to start. I have did 2 small courses in makeup and one 6 month course- how do i get more experience and how did you become so comfortable with makeup. Everybody says ‘practice’ but how does one get to blend as well as you do????????????????
please forgive my typing errors
I love my 217 brush. My makeup consultant at MAC taught me it’s great for applying concealer too! This look is HOTT!
i also think that the Miliani runway eyes in Beautiful blues would work for this look as well! i just bought it today and i am going to try it. tomorrow is my bday and im going out t eat tonight to celebrate so ill post some pics in the forum once i get ready!

Hi Marlena !
I just found your website about 2 days ago and i love it ! I really like the tutorials you do with all those different color but i have a couple questions. Im african american and Im 15 yrs old and very new to the makeup world lol and I dont really know what colors would look good on my skin I like the purple and pink and brown looks you do because i like to have a dramatci eye but i dont know if it would look good on me and my eyes are kind of small/mediumish ( if that makes sence )guess. I know your not african american but if you could do a tutorial on makeup for my type of skin tone I would really appriecate it!
keep up the good work !
Dear Marlena,
I stumbled upon your site while looking for something else on YouTube and I am soooo grateful. I have always been a makeup geek; however, after having my two daughters time became of the essence and I did not have much time left for makeup. I just wanted to let you know that you have inspired me tremendously. I tried this look and though it does not look as good as yours, I absolutely love it. I am hoping to get better with time and practice. Looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials!
Marlena - I love this look…but they don’t sell the Gulf Stream color e/s anymore…what’s an alternative color?
