Hi!
I love your tutorials, they´re very easy to follow. I got a question….What can i use instead pearl cream base? I have very oily eyelids. Bare canvas maybe or some matte e/s?
Greetings from Mexico! =D
JULIA
PS. Excuse if my English is not very good =P
Hi Julia
I would use MAC’s paintpot in “painterly” or Benefit Lemonaid- they’re both great for oily lids. I’d say the lemonaid would even be best for oily lids..
WOW…I LOVE THIS LOOK ITS REALLY NICE!!
What pigment can be used instead of Chartreuse? Love this!!! Thanks
Hey! I love your website! I can relate to one of the other girls. I already have oily skin so the cream base would be horrible for me too??? I’m an African American girl and I have paint pot in “Constructivist”. I love it but I have noticed when using lighter shades of eyeshadows such as pinks, light blues, or light browns, the constructivist is just entirely too dark and i have a hard time blending. What do you suggest as a base?
Hi Kasey
As your overall base, try using Urban Decay Primer Potion- this will help more with the oil. Then to make the lighter colors appear, put a base on in that same color- if you are wearing light pink, put on mac’s fresco rose paintpot on the lid or nyx jumbo eye pencil in strawberry milk.
Hope that helps
For anyone who is trying to duplicate this look, don’t forget to buy the Wondergrass eye shadow. It’s not listed in the product list above, but it is used in the tutorial. Plus it’s a very pretty color! I picked some up on ebay for about twenty dollars.
i love thi look just love it
Hi Marlena I love, love, love your website and tutorials, I do have a question too, can I use Benefit erase paste or any other concealer as a primer for shadow? Someone told me that once, just want to make sure.
I have learned so much from you thanks,
Tina
WOW Marlena, you have REALLY come a long way sence then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!….. thats all.
Hi Marlena,
I just love this look it is so fun, but do you think it will work for people with green eyes. I am 16 and I’m just starting on putting on make up do you think that I can do this or should I do something lighter for practice. Thanks already. You are amazingly talented.
