Tried putting on eyelashes as you suggested, but the ends of the false eyelashes are NOT attaching well to the base of my lashes. I tried fixing it, puuting on more glue but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions???? Can’t wait for next tutorial. And thanks for always suggesting cheaper alternatives.

You can definitely re-use your false lashes- even if you apply mascara afterwards. First, wash your face as normal and also use an eye makeup remover with a cotton ball to get rid of any excess eye makeup. The warm water from washing your face should make the glue soft so the lashes peel off easily. Once the lashes are off, gently peel off the latex glue and rub in a little bit of eye makeup remover. Rinse in warm water and lay flat to dry
You can re-use them up to 5 times if you are careful with them

Do you recommend ardell false lashes?
I tried some kryolan ones, but they just fell apart after one use..
The Ardell ones are the best!! The lashline is mostly clear so there’s not this harsh black line showing, and they last much longer- I won’t use any other lashes anymore (unless I’m doing a crazy photoshoot and need crazy lashes

Yes, I did try it- it wasn’t bad, but since I like full coverage, I wasn’t as fond of it. I think it’s great though if you want less coverage than the colorstay- plus, it’s lighter feeling on the skin

Some feel that the paint pots are too creamy if you have oily skin, so depending on what your skin type is, either one should work

Hello Marlene I love your tutorial It has teach me alot on how to do my own make up I do have a question so If you please could help me out . when you do your make up do you used the same brushes that you used for your customer.
I use the same brushes for my clients BUT I never use a used one- meaning I clean them before each client. But you don’t need separate brushes for yourself and for clients as long as they are cleaned before using on someone else

Please Help Me Choose a Nars Loose Powder Color
Hi. I am pretty new to makeup, and would love to try Nars Loose Powder. However, unfortunately there is nowhere close to me that sells it. I believe I have narrowed it down to either Snow or Flesh.
For reference:
Currently I wear Bare Minerals Fair. In the winter, I mix in the Mineral Veil, and in the summer I some times mix in a little Fairly Light.
I have a red/ pink face, but I have trouble telling if the veins on the inside of my arms are blue or green… maybe slightly green…but that may also be the yellow cast from the indoor lighting. In the sunlight: the veins on the inside of my arm appear…black? maybe a dark blue? I have been told by BeautiControl Reps. that I am pink (P1 actually), if that helps.
In any case, I am relatively translucent. I have freckles EVERYWHERE and veins visible on my eye lids. My hair is very dark brown. My eyes are commonly mistaken for brown because they are very dark, but are actually quite green/hazel especially in the sun.
If I do not get lost in the sea of questions and comments, I would really appreciate some guidance.

have you considered taping a still shot of the eye colors you are going to use, and adding that to the video before you start the tut’s? most tut’s on the web just flash the e/s in front of the camera for about 3 seconds, and it doesn’t always focus, and the lighting is poor that way. so i end up having to visit the brand’s actual site just to figure out what the heck the color actually is! if there is a still shot, a person can pause the video and get a better clue. thanks for all the looks!!!

I just recently found the site…( and im sooO happy i did..lol)… but my problem is that when i put eyeshadow on that isnt boring and has some color i feel like i look like a clown even though it looked awesome on u… …. Does complection or eyecolor make the difference…? Also i have tried some of these looks with drugstore eyeshadow and it is nearly impossible(or im just having bad luck)…. Having quality eyeshadow will make all the diff…?

I love your tutorials. But some I cant try because It makes my eyes look more darker than what they are on a daily bases. I have fair skin some what like your complection and I also have dark circles and no matter what make up I put on it does not seem to go away. Can you give me tips on covering under eye circles the right way? If you need a piture of me to have an idea of what I am talking about please let me know. Please help me Marlena. Thank you! =)

i was wondering what yellow shadows you could recommend for brown eyes as you’ve mentioned in the “how to make brown eyes pop” video that some yellows can bring out the yellow in brown eyes:D I’v watched most of your vids for multiple times!
