Smashbox Emulsion Lip Exfoliant (eBay / Amazon) This is my newest find as I was testing out several smashbox products. It has peppermint oil in it which smells great, and the small blue beads in it really get rid of any dry skin on your lips. This is probably my new favorite now! My lips are loving it. |

C.O. Bigelow Lip Shine (eBay / Amazon) These flavored lip balms are not only moisturizing, but they smell great! My favorite is “mentha” as it makes my mouth smell minty fresh. I use these almost everyday as a moisturizer- I have one in my car, by my bed, and in my purse… |
Exfoliating your lips is a must for some people like me!
You learn easy tricks that will save you money! as for me i use Vasiline and sugar, Rub it all over your ips and then use a lip balm!

using blistex on a daily basis then stopping will actually make your lips chap MORE!
i have had friends who go to a local university do studies on it and they proved that the medication/menthol will dry out your skin/lips.

it’s designed to use during the winter or if you have really bad dry chapped lips. it’s not for every day use!

Awesome tut, Marlena! I never even thought about exfoliating my lips! My lips get chapped and dry, and flaky ALL the time and it’s so nasty! So I will definitely have to start doing this! Thanks again for a wonderful idea!
Great tut, Marlena. Lip exfoliation is very important! I’m way too cheap to buy an exfoliant, so I mix a bit of olive oil and brown sugar to make a paste, and rub it on. The olive oil is VERY moisturizing, and the brown sugar gets off all the nasty dead skin!

you can also take use vasaline and sugar to exfoliate then wipe off and put ur fave balm on this works well for me and is cheap as can be

I know that aquafina (yes like the water) makes a one…It’s super cheap…like 5 dollars I love it!!!! it comes with a lip balm…
How often do you do this? How often is too much?
Another great way to exfoliate your lips is to use Burt’s Bees citrus facial exfoliant and massage into your lips, and then take an electric tooth brush (run it under warm water) and run it across your lips a couple of time. Load on some lip balm (carmex) and your good to go! Thanks Marlena
