I put my eyeshadow on before my face make up in case of fall out or if I have to fix something.
Also, I really like Mineral Glow eyeshadows. (link below)
And I REALLY want Golden Olive!
Answers to all my questions!
Thanks so much!
oh heres that link: http://www.mineralglow.com/catalog.php?category=2
I also use the Visine trick for pigments or ‘glitter’ based e/s. drop some visine on my brush, dab it on a tissue so it isn’t completely wet, and then apply e/s. no fallout, e/s sticks like glue.
Great tutorial Marlena! (as always— you have NO idea how much I look forward to them!!!!) Thumper’s foot… you are TOO cute and that made me know exactly what you mean!!! =D
I am so glad you posted this.. as to I was getting so irritated with this process the other night.
But, I am wondering something else, does this technique work the same for getting glitter like the ones from NYX to stick to your eyelids? Or is that just a terrible idea to attempt all together?
Great tutorial Marlena!
I have a question though that I am sure most of the ladies here can answer. Do all the pigments have glitter in them or are some matte?
Thanks so much you are AWESOME!
Thumpers foot.. lol.. too cute. That totally got the point across! Great tut!
lol! I like your metaphor.
Oh that’s a great tip – I always use a fluffier eyeshadow brush, because I want to blend well, but it makes sense to use something that’s stiffer so there isn’t a lot of flyaway pigment.
thanks!
That color looked great on you!
Wonderful tutorial as always. you also much tell me where you got that pretty ring ! I love it ! ( you have the best taste
)
oops I mean ” must tell me ” hehehe…… I can’t type LOL
How do one put on foundation after the eyeshadow application? You have to like avoid the eye area to not ruin the eye shadow etc?
Thank you so much for doing this cause I have twelve pigments that I don’t use because I get frustrated LOL
Marlena,
You are truly a ‘Teacher’. Thanks for another informative tutorial!
Wendy
Thanks Marlena for a new way to apply pigments/es… I usually wear full face makeup (foundation, undereye concealer, and loose powder) I’ve always used a lighter powder under my eyes since I have a hard time with undereye circles, and I have found that if I overload it under my eyes I have an easier time getting the fallout after I have apply it, I just brush off the excess powder and taadaa no leftover fallout!
<3
It also helps if you put a little extra loose powder under your eyes to make it easier to brush away fall out.
Sorry Crickett….I just totally repeated you….
I love yours make up tutorials! Tank you so much! You couldn’t believe how much these tutorials helps me! I found you videos in You tube and since this, I’ve learned so much about make up! And a few months ago I haven’t a clue about how to make a nice make up!
Tank you again!
This tip was a HUGE help to me, I always have a ton of fallout. One thing I find helps a little, too, if you have already put on foundation is to dust an excess of Mineral Veil all underneath your eye area. It brushes right off with no streaks when you are done no matter how much fallout you had!
i just have to tell you that after watching your tutorial about smokey eye. i have been hooked to your website. that “v” secret you showed us. really help alot. because my eyes are so little i was never able to highlight my eye correctly. so thank you.
