Love this look! Can’t afford the MUFE/MAC Goodies!
We just added some Makeup Geek alternatives that are half the price
Love that you guys did that, thank you!
LA colors only buy the shadow the rest idk
mirror available?
What do you mean by “mirror available?”
She’s asking if there is an alternative video for people who aren’t able to watch Youtube (ex. Germany has copyright issues with music and blocks these videos).
@HonaluluHoney, I’m sure they are going to have one up soon, they always do.
I love this look! I have done one kinda like this before, but yours is great too! If you want, you can check out my blog (today I have it blacked out to protest SOPA/PIPA, but you can click through the blackout for my looks). Amazing job again!
Stunning – I can’t wait to get out my colour pallettes from Christmas to try this one.
LOVE THIS LOOK I’M GONNA TRY IT OVER THE WEEKEND THANKS MARLENA!!!
BESOS!
Love this look..
hey marlena love it the colors are so pretty just perfect .one more thing i was looking on ebay for the revlon colorstay foundation i found a lot i just need one but the seller just sell the whole lot i just want to let you know since you are a mua maybe you need this quantity and the price i think its ok heres is the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/330672761500?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_500wt_1156
I think you can get them a bit cheaper with the sales at Rite Aid or CVS- and if you need just 1 or 2 colors, this is too many…
ulta almostt always but one get one 1/2 off and you can always print out cupons
I love this look, Marlena I need your help:
1.What is the difference between Mac Russian Red lipstick and Mac Ruby Woo?
2.What is your favourite cheek highlighter? Armani Fluid Sheer or MAC By Candlelight Mineralize Skinfinish?
Thank you
Here’s a good post for the red lipsticks
http://www.beautyaddict.net/mac-russian-red-vs-mac-ruby-woo/
My current favorite cheek highlighter is the Armani one, but it is pricey… I’m trying to find a cheaper one, but no such luck yet
I like it as it’s very creamy yet natural looking- not too glittery
els all over face shimmer ot somethin $1 its mt best friend
*elf
I cant watch in Europe :/
Simply splendid !!!
Amazingly attracting…
Fabulous..
I wish I could so so well… but I don’t have Marlena’s eyes either…
can u tell us the mac dupes ?
I would use:
Goldmine, Lucky (can’t remember exact name- it’s the shimmery lime green one), Cobalt, and Fig 1
thank u marlena xxx thanks for taking out the time to reply love u xxx
This looks beautiful on you~I love it! xo
You are the best!!
love the look .. amazing job
Such a great look!
Marlena!!! The last picture!!! WOW!!!
Your eyes!!! <3
I really love this look. I am going to wear it for my birthday next week its very sexy & fun its perfect. Gorgeous like always & thank you =D
Thank you for another amazing look!!!! I will try this look for sure.
I love this look, but need some advice – don’t hate me but I am not a make-up kinda girl ( I work on a farm). ANywho, I am going to a wedding in a month and have been looking to do something special with make-up – your tutorials have been great, and I have been practicing.
I have a question though, following is the link to the dress I am wearing – it is more a red than the picture, but not a bright fire-engine red, more bright Ruby. I am wearing purple suede heels and I was wondering if this look would suit the outfit (or perhaps one of your other – I have been practicing with the purple smokey eyes). I have dark auburn hair and smokey grey/blue eyes. Need to look super fantastic at the event!!! Any help much appreciated!!!
I would say that a neutral makeup look would be nice as red dress with pop of purple in the shoes would compete with any colorful makeup. A nice brown smoky eye with maybe a smudge of purple under the lashline would be pretty
aawww that kinda what i did for my sis wedding almost hot pink dress what do ya do go natural but also i did two others one got my same natural but my lik cuz i though at 16 she can pull off a pink and purple it was sooo cut i wish i was young again

can we have mac dupes as well please?
I just posted a few comments above
thanks! this look is gorgeous!
Can you still do NYX dupes? I don’t know how much of a hassle it would be. I know a bunch of your fans still have a lot of NYX products!
Marlena you are the best and I love all your videos.
This was a fun one, keep up the good work!
Marlena thank you for giving us an options using MUG shadows bexause i love the quality of your shadows so much that i am not planning on spending money with more expensive brands so i will use MUG ones FOR SURE! Love always, Ligia
Sorry for typing errors ;D
I love love love love this look!! Can’t wait to try l own version of this!! Amazing work!
Will you post the better dupes names when they are available? Thanks, Marlena!
Sure will!
is it really just me who noticed that the moves doesn’t go along with the voice of Marlena? even if i watch it at the mirror its not working smoothly
Love this look!!! and love you too Marlena! So I have a question about the makeup forever eyeshadows. The turquoise eyeshadow is not listed under the video but I looked up the number given in the video but the eyeshadows don’t look the same to me. The one given in the video was #168 but that one looked like a shimmery forest green not turquoise. I was thinking #83 looked more like it. I could be totally wrong. I just want to make sure I don’t buy the wrong ones! Love this website and Marlena you have totally saved me from being dull and boring without makeup to loving makeup and loving the way I look with it. With your help of course! Thank you so much. You’re an inspiration to me with makeup and with all the weight that you have lost. I have struggled for years and I’m trying hard to lose some weight with help from your tips. Thanks Again!!!
You’re right- I think it’s #83. It’s weird with MUFE’s numbering system as some of my shadows have different numbers than their current colors…
That is weird. I know you are a very busy lady so thank you for answering my question. I really appreciate it!
This is stunning! I love it. But please, where did you get those amazing earrings?! I neeeeeeeeed to know.
I got them from Forever 21
very nice but it looks like a peacock love it
hey marlena, just a random question but……..have you ever been a blonde??? I think you would look stunning with the right shade especially with your beautiful eyes. Haha just saying
xoxo I love all your looks!
U look so so so pretty as ever dear… I am not so sure how i would look with all those colours on my eyes !!! I did the classic smokey look for my birthday & all ma friends appreciated as they loved it.. gonna try this one tooooooo … thanx to u dear.. mmwwahhh ***** !!!
Hey Marlena, love the look & colors
I really love this looks. Honestly, I have to say it’s probably become one of my favourites! I think the colours look great together and that turquoise is amazing!!
Plus, it’s easy to see how I could tone it down for work, or day to day…lots of ideas in there!
That lipstick has become one of my favourites too! I usually don’t wear much colour on my lips as I have naturally quite pigmented lips and tend to have a ruddy complexion. But Shy Girl is amazing. Thanks so much for showing it, I would never have found it otherwise!
Thanks Marlena!!
Im in awe with this work of art! It is absolutly amazing!!! I will give it a shot, im not as light skinned as you so im not quite sure i can pull this off as well as you do!
Question, the name or number of the turquoise color is not said, would you please let me know what is it? MAC or MUG ?
hey marlena, love the look… i have one question, what look , for the eyes, would look good with a blue indian ethnic wear.. im trying purple smokey, don wanna do blue, coz its gonna be weird with the whole attire blue, its for my wedding reception, its really heavy.. thanks.. you rock.
Marlena,
You are so good at figuring the right colors to wear that I hope you plan on doing a tutorial to help
someone figure out the correct makeup colors to put on depending on what colors you are wearing.
I wear earthy colors alot but I also wear things with pops of color and I wonder how to adjust my
makeup choices for my lips and eyes mainly. Will look forward to your advice!
Thank You!!
This is really pretty! The eyes look stunning yet not OTT. Must try this some day!
I LOVE your tutorials!!!! I have been a huge fan for a long time now. I am just curious about one thing. Why aren’t you using the Makeup Geek eyeshadows to do the tutorials? Was it because you shot the tutorial before the MUG ones were availalble?
I’m just curious…
That is an amazing look! I like you’re Videos so much and this one look so great! You’re really beautiful and I like the way that you talk and laugh and of course you’re amazing eyes.
I will try this Make up but I’m not so talented in that.

I have been a fan of yours ever since I saw your video on how to apply falsises and I have been loyal ever since lol. I was just wondering could you perhaps do a video on medium to dark skinned woman. For everyday looks, and outtings and interviews, things a such. I’ve been trying to get all your “must have” essiantials, I’ve been ordering like crazy from your website and related websites. I think your great and videos are tasteful, relateable and are always gorgeous and grand. If i were in your area and you were a teaching, I’d attend. I’m hopeing you can help me with this, I have a very important interview coming up in Feburary, that I really want!! For Valentines I’m planning on wearing you Valentine’s look and I’m really excited! I just need help with this one little thing
Marlena, I was wondering if you could help me!
Mi husband is an independent movie director, and due to his low budget for his next movie, he has asked me to do the makeup for his actors (all men, luckily, no women).
I was thinking of using a little concealer under eyes and the “problem” areas, some foundation to even out the skin and a little powder to set it all and to avoid shine.
Since I don´t have a lot of experience in makeup for movies, I was wondering what would be the best technique to apply the foundation for a flawless result on High Definition cameras.
The tools I own are:
-Fingers, of course
-Sponges
-Typical foundation brush
-Stippling brushes (Sonia Kashuk and Sephora).
I live in Argentina, so unfortunately I cant buy the MUG Stippling brush, which looks fantastic.
Which technique/application method do you think would be the best?
Also, any tip you could give me for makeup for HD filming would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you SO SO much!
Hello, I have been trying out makeup looks from your tutorials for a few days now, but when I try to take a picture of the makeup on me it doesnt look good on camera!!
I have tried different lightings from inside my house, I have also tried taking the pictures with flash on and off, nothing seems to work!
When I look in the mirror my makeup looks quite good (not like yours) but beautiful enough to impress if I were to go out.
How do you do it?? How can you manage to make your eye makeup look so good in pictures????
By the way you have totally changed the way I do my makeup, I cant wait for a special ocasion so I wear one of your looks!!
Marlena you’re so beautiful!! Even your hair looks kinda rainbowy in the second picture lol i love this look!! Thanks for another fabulous tutorial! I have some MUG goodies arriving in the mail soon, thanks for creating such an awesome company, definitely one of my favorites!!

Wow! Love the way it looks. I tried the smoky eye look a few times and I always end up looking like someone punched me =/ I guess the trick is blending and contrasting colors. =) Thanks for sharing!!
What shade of Lancôme foundation do you use?

Hi there Marlena! You’re such and inspiration and so beautiful! I look forward to hearing about your weightloss and your achievements because I am struggling with my weight as well and trying to live a better and more healthy lifestyle, it’s a slow process but I’m getting there. Anyways, I LOVE this look and I can’t wait to try it, I was wondering if maybe your MUG Fiji would be a better dupe than Appletini? Just wondering because on my computer screen Fuji looked like a closer dupe than Appletini but I could be wrong. Ether way I can’t wait to try this look and thank you for your wonderful makeup tutorials and for being the amazing person you are! Take care! <3
Ah! I’m silly, haha I just looked through all your eyeshadows available and notice Fuji is not there so I’m assuming that was the closer dupe you were talking about haha sorry! Well then, do you think Sugarpills Absynthe might be a closer dupe? Again so sorry, and could you list the teal you used or a similar dupe? Thanks so much!
