Gorgeous color, very nice formula, but not quite right for my skin tone

I was expecting this lipstick to be a tad more sheer than it actually is. My mistake. Regardless, it's absolutely gorgeous and would work great on somebody with a medium or darker skin tone. In the winter, I'm light-medium & this looks a bit too dark against my current coloring. I make it work by topping it with lighter glosses.
That being said, the formula of these lipsticks is great. Very smooth, creamy, shiny, moisturizing, with no shimmer at all. Similar to Stila Shine lipsticks, which I love, but with just a little more 'give' to them. Meaning that they tend to bleed a bit on me unless I use a lip liner, which I rarely do because it just adds one more step to my routine which I find annoying. To avoid having to use a liner all the time, I apply this lipstick and then blot a bit, then top with my gloss to lighten the shade up a tad. Works just fine.
I'll definitely be buying more of these lipsticks at some point, but in shades that are somewhat lighter.
