  1. Beautiful shade! Review by Arani

I see a lot of people comparing Burlesque to MAC's sketch but they are not the same at all! Sketch is a much deeper shade of burgandy with chocolate brown undertones while burlesque is a metallic burgandy with warm pink undertones. That being said, burlesque is a stunning shade that looks amazing on all skin tones. It's buttery smooth and doesn't have any fall out. (Posted on 3/4/16)

  2. Love, love, love Review by Babett

If you have green eyes, buy it because neither of my other shadows make my eyes pop like this.
I usually use this top of a similar colored cream shadow, Desert Sands as transition shade and Bitten to smoke it out a bit. When I wear this combination suddenly everyone compliments my eyecolour. (Posted on 2/3/16)

  3. Not what I expected Review by Coralee

This shadow is very creamy and pigmented however, the swatch pictures are not very accurate because I found the color to be much darker. (Posted on 12/26/15)

  4. some wine? Review by Inga

beautiful shimmery burgundy, I use it on my lid and under the lower lash line if I want to feel very hot that day. and- it works :D (Posted on 8/8/15)

  5. Stunning colour Review by Kirstin

I love this colour, unfortunately mine cracked in the pan so I'll definitely be grabbing another one. A lot like Last Dance and Sensuous only more of a richer cranberry colour - absolutely gorgeous! (Posted on 6/16/15)

  6. Beautiful Burgundy Review by Julia

Very simliar to Showtime foiled shadow, They provide the same look on my lid with Showtime providing more metallic finish, but a very beautiful deep burgundy colour. (Posted on 4/30/15)

  7. Love it Review by Fairymoon

I love this color so much. It's a total hit for me (Posted on 2/19/15)

  8. creamy, shimmery true burgundy Review by Lydia

this is a really nice burgundy color. It is darker than mac's cranberry and I prefer this for wearing in the crease with a wash of homecoming over the lid. last dance is similar but more towards purple and I alternate between the two and Mac's sketch (Posted on 9/20/14)

  9. mac cranberry dupe? Review by Angela

Pretty similar to mac cranberry. Not an exact dupe but close. (Posted on 7/20/14)

  12. Favorite! Review by Desiree'

I have dark green/ Hazel eyes and this color is so complimenting to it. I use Maybelines color tattoo in Pomegranate Punk and layer this on top and it's so beautiful! I love it so much!! (Posted on 4/22/14)

  13. Great Review by Nathalie

One of my favourite eyeshadow, I have 32 MUG eye shadows and I love all of them, but this one is so beautiful !
    A must have ! (Posted on 3/6/14)

  14. Just STUNNING! Review by DD

I gravitate towards colors like this and I didn't have anything in my collection that was quite what I wanted in this shade. This color is one of my absolute faves. It's just stunning. I'm not sure how else to say how much I love this deep cranberry-ish/brick metallic color. Pigmentation and texture are perfect and it blends extremely easily. This was my first time purchasing MUG products and I am extremely impressed. I only purchased a few shadows just to try out the brand but I already have about 15 more shades on my list and will def be making another order. Pigmentation and quality definitely rivals MAC and in some shades it's even better than MAC. Thanks MUG for giving us a beautiful product at such an affordable price!!! ;-) DD (Posted on 2/22/14)

  15. Dramatic! Review by Orlena

Burlesque is a literary, dramatic or musical work intended to cause laughter by caricaturing the manner or spirit of serious works, or by ludicrous treatment of their subjects. This colour is a majorly pigmented cranberry just love it! (Posted on 2/22/14)

  17. Parfait pour cet automne! Review by Nadia

Couleur sublimissime! Je ne saurais même pas la décrire : c'est un burgundy, tirant sur le bordeaux mais aussi sur le prune et le brun roux... enfin il faut l'acheter quoi! Pigmentation parfaite. C'était ma première commande : aucuns soucis, reçu en 8 jours chrono! (Posted on 9/14/13)

  18. A True Burgandy Color Review by Jaclyn

I've been on the hunt for a while for a true burgandy eyeshadow that does not turn brown when applied to my lids. Thank goodness I found MUG's Burlesque! It is a beautiful true burgandy shade that actually looks burgandy, and it really compliments my brown eyes. As expected, this shadow as no fallout whatsoever and remains vibrant all day long. (Posted on 8/8/13)

  19. Surprisingly wearable! Review by Sharon

I got this mainly because I thought it looked pretty at first, but I've been wearing this a lot more than I expected. I love this color!

The brightness of the color does blend away to a brownish color easily, but if you just pat on more after the blending, it makes the color pop out again where you want it to. (Posted on 6/12/13)

  20. Belle couleur Review by Nancy

Ressemble au cranberry de mac mais en plus foncer, on peux faire un beau dégradé (Posted on 6/3/13)

  21. beautiful until blended Review by Angela

This shadow is goregeous in the pan and if patted on but once you start blending it fades to a matte medium brown. All Burgundy/Cranberry color and any metallic aspect blends away. Was so disappointed because it's beautiful in pan. (Posted on 5/13/13)

  22. Great! Review by Annie

I love this color! I've worn it a few times and the color is so rich. (Posted on 12/25/12)

This eyeshadow is amazing!! I wear this everyday in some form whether its in my crease or just under my lashes! The color is so pigmented and minimal fall out!
All I need now is a matte finish burgundy and a very baby pink matte finish and ill be complete! I have like 28 of the MUG eyeshadows and all I can say is move over MAC, MUG is taking over!!! Great job guys!! Xoxo (Posted on 10/3/12)

I didn't know if I would like this colour on me when I first saw it in the pan. However, I now love it. I have blue/grey eyes and I use this in the outer v and crease. I think it really makes my eyes pop. (Posted on 5/17/12)

  27. Cranberry Review by Elizabeth

This is a great dupe for MACs cranberry, a tiny bit off but gorgeous! MUG eyeshadows are creamy and blendable... Def worth it! (Posted on 5/8/12)

one of my favorite colors!!! very nice with blue eyes!!! (Posted on 4/29/12)

  29. Interesting color Review by Kristen

I love burgundy colors with my blue eyes and pale skin so I had to have this one. The color isn't exactly as you would expect it to be but it matches my winter coat impeccably lol. It has this sheen to it that makes it easy to pair with sparkly pigments or matte eyeshadows ...I do like that it doesn't stain your skin like many other brands can with their reddish toned eye shadows. I really really like this one! (Posted on 4/24/12)

  30. definitely grew on me Review by Lauren

I did not expect to like this color at all - the true color is hard to explain... plummy, rich, slight shimmer, completely gorgeous. It makes my light blue eyes POP like no other shadow I've ever tried. I bought a few MUG eyeshadows, and this is by far my favorite. (Posted on 4/15/12)

  31. Highly pigmented & very smooth Review by Sandra

This is one of my favorite eye shadows, without a doubt. The swatch of this color is very accurate. I've used is as an outer corner shade, in my crease, and even as a liner over top of my Stila Smudge Pots or Bobby Brown cream liners. Works great for foiling & wet lining too. Very highly pigmented, easy to blend & smudge, it's got a gorgeous sheen to it as well. Not at all powdery or dusty, and I don't get much fallout with it either. Definitely one of my more often used eye shadows. (Posted on 4/8/12)

  32. So Amazing Review by Hannah

I was afraid to get this color because I have such pale skin, I was afraid it would be too harsh on me. But it turned out to be so perfect! Looks great with my green/blue eyes, really makes them pop!

Color is so rich and full, goes on nice and smooth. Very yummy!!! (Posted on 3/29/12)

  33. Very unique colour - just stunning!!! Review by Kirky J

I was tossing up whether to get this colour or Sensuous and I am so glad I picked Burlesque. I have yet to wear this but it is a very seductive bright plummy dark aubergine colour. It has a beautiful sheen to it and looks very expensive!!! It would look amazing on blue eyes. Great job on the colours Marlena, I think this is going to be a fave of mine. (Posted on 3/20/12)

  34. Favourite Colour Review by Lisa

This is my fav colour from the 17 that I recieved today.

I have swatched them and can't wait to wear them out.

Thank you so much for posting international. They all arrived in perfect condition, no breakages. Beautiful packaging, it was almost a shame to take them out and put them in the palette.

I will be back for more to fill up my palette, looking forward to when the new colours become available :) (Posted on 3/1/12)

  35. LOVE! Review by Jazmin

So pigmented, and beautiful. Such a high quality eyeshadow :) (Posted on 2/22/12)

  36. Must Have! Review by Krysten

If you have blue eyes, you need this shadow! Looks especially amazing blended out with Country Girl. Very creamy and not too metallic. (Posted on 2/21/12)

  37. Love love Review by Kristy

Just got this color yesterday, I loved it! Very pigmented. Very pretty. It used it with my black urban decay shadow (the one in the naked pallet 2) and it outlasted that it. Can't wait to try more, just hope their all the same quality :) (Posted on 2/3/12)

  38. "Show Me How You Burlesque" Review by Leslie

Christina and Cher have some definite competion. This color stands on it's own as a unique and captivating color. Watch out because this color isn't for the faint of heart with it's deep burgundy color. "Welcome to Burlesque", because once here...your hooked! (Posted on 1/26/12)

  39. A-May-Zing!!!!!! Review by DCurly

This color is unstoppable. The texture is so creamy and blendable. The payoff is so intense and true to the pan. By far one of my favorites of the line. (Posted on 1/20/12)

  40. Great color Review by Traci

This color is great for the crease and the outer V. All of the colors I've tried so far have been super pigmented and easy to blend. (Posted on 1/14/12)

  41. Not as burgundy as I'd hoped Review by Jailyn

This shadow is very smooth and very pigmented but unfortunately it looks more bronze then burgundy on my skin which is a shame because it looks lovely in the pan. (Posted on 1/10/12)

  42. Beautiful color Review by klh

This is a beautiful color but I was surprised to see that it's exactly the color of Face Atelier's Ic Burg which I already have. If I would have known they were identical, I would have chosen a different color. It is gorgeous though. (Posted on 1/5/12)

  43. great Review by roxy481

this color was so pretty! as a lover of purples and cranberry shades, i loved this in the crease for a more daytime look with moondust on the lid.
can be a big too much if not blended out well though (Posted on 12/31/11)

  44. So pretty Review by cami

This color is soooooo pretty. Not as powdery as the matte shadows. I did find that it was a bit difficult to blend out with a 217, but just take your time and it will end up looking pretty good. I love this color paired w/a copper color on the lid. Great color for Fall!!! (Posted on 12/22/11)

  45. Love it! Review by Stacy

I think this color looks so pretty I can't wait to try it!!! It is on my to buy list! (Posted on 12/19/11)
