Disappointed and surprised Review by Zuzana
I really expected much and wanted to like these. My first MUG eyeshadows were foiled ones and they crease and do not last on the lid at all. I never have this problem with my other eyeshadows. This is the last thing I would expect from the eyeshadows, should have read the reviews first, only followed the youtube hype. (Posted on 12/15/15)
disaster Review by tatiana
i love the color of this eyeshadow, it looks so beautiful when swached with the finger, but on the lid it doesnt transfer, i tried all the brushes, tried the finger too, its the worse foiled shadow that they have. please dont buy it... 10 Bucks for nothing. (Posted on 8/17/15)
Most beautiful green ever Review by Gloria
I absolutely love this color. It reminds me a bit of envy (a regular mug eyeshadow) but more intense. (Posted on 7/27/15)
Learning curve but worth it Review by Shannon
"with auburn hair and tawny eyes", I tend to like colors that accent the gold/orange I have touch so much of so green is a favored colour. Houdini is perfect in that regard, though it took a bit of trial to find the best method of application. Brushes are unnecessary with these lovely foiled shadows: use your finger for best results. I put Houdini on the outer third to half of my lid, blended Jackpot pigment onto the inner third to half, high tea in the crease and deepened the outer v with corrupt with beautiful, long lasting results over primer. I'm going on 12 hours with little fading and got tons of compliments so I'm a happy ginger, lol! (Posted on 4/15/15)
beautiful but not long lasting Review by BRITTANY
I'm with rodriyaya. I only own Houdini and could not love the color more. seriously obsessed. it's beautiful. and I've watched video's that have shown the best way to apply this type of shadow or pigment is with your finger. can pack it on the lid well with that method, but you cant blend it out with a brush or it disappears. and, granted i have extremely oily lids so all shadows crease on me-even with the best primer, this one creases (way) faster and more so then other regular mug shadows. possibly too creamy? making it slip more easily? might work better on someone with dry skin and lids that doesn't have a creasing problem (Posted on 3/29/15)
Not what I expected Review by Kristi
Definitely not what I expected from a MUG product. It was very hard to get the color on my brush for one and two the color would run and did not stay put at all:( it's such a gorgeous color too:( I tried primer, setting sprays, you name it. I really think these formulas have some work. I know Marlena is probably the hardest working person in the cosmetics industry and I hate to leave a bad review but it's the truth. (Posted on 3/19/15)
Most difficult shadow I've ever worked with Review by Deana
I have made about 4 different attempts with this shadow and I cannot get it to work for me! I can pack pack pack the color on all day long (which takes forever to build up to my desired intensity) and I cannot get this color to stay put. When I try to blend it, the color comes right off and leaves my lid looking splotchy and uneven. I always wear urban decay eyeshadow primer and have tried putting maybelline color tattoo down for a base. I've tried NYX eyeshadow base down. And I've tried no base at all. I've tried using a MAC 242 brush to apply it as well as my fingertip and none of this has helped. I cannot make this shadow stay and work at all. Maybe I just got a dud but I'm out of ideas. Stunning color Review by LadyKimzu
Love, love, love this shadow. It is absolutely gorgeous!! I was concerned with how the shadow would blend or if they would "dry out" however they have held up and blend pretty nicely. I purchased Houdini and Mesmerized, both beautiful colors. The only thing for me is the fact that I do need to wear a primer. I do this anyway with all shadows, even MUG foiled, but I forgot one day and they creased really badly! Keep in mind that I do have oilier eyelids. All other times I have worn the shadow, it's been fine and the color has lasted all day. (Posted on 2/4/15)
SO IN LOVE!! Review by Brianna
First, let me say that I am not really one for blues, greens and those in between but OMG!!! As soon as I saw the shade in the foiled shadow launch video and I knew I had to have it. It is absolutely beautiful, especially for brown eyes. And for those of a richer skin tone, it looks fab! I'm addicted to wearing it in my bottom lash line. Every time I wear it, I feel like everyone is starring at me. I get so many compliments on it. MUST BUY!! (Posted on 1/4/15)
I didn't want to buy this one Review by KohakuSueda
When I saw this swatched, I figured I had other shades like it and didn't need it. Why did I buy it? Well, I'm a make-up addict lol anyway, when I got it the mail and swatched it I was SO glad I did. It really is the sheen that makes this color unlike many others that may appear similar. Its a beautiful shade and if you have brown eyes, it doesn't get much better. (Posted on 12/30/14)
Loving Houdini... Review by Megan
This shade really surprised me. It reads on the site as a "deep emerald teal green with a foiled finish" but it shows up more on my lids as a deep, metallic blue/forest green. Definitely more so as opposed to a teal green. Super unique, I have never in my life seen an eyeshadow like this color. I will repurchase when I run out for sure! (Posted on 12/27/14)
loveee Review by aissa
This eyeshadow is so beautiful!! I found the best way to apply it was with my fingers because it wouldn't pick up with any of my brushes.... wasn't a problem for me just a heads up:) (Posted on 12/22/14)
