  1. Doesn't do much for me Review by Danni

Not pigmented enough to really do much. And it is quite chalky. I tend to go for another white drugstore shadow (Milani Bella white) for my inner corners over this (Posted on 1/2/16)

  2. LOVE Review by Addy

OMG this color is a pale girl's bff! I use this everyday. Finally a shade lighter than my skin tone!!!! :) (Posted on 12/16/15)

  3. Very versatile Review by Kirstin

Very pigmented, creamy and extremely blendable. I had been debating on whether to get this one and I'm so glad I bought it. Perfect for the inner corner or under the brow bone I also use this to lighten other eye shadows and lightly sweep it under my eyes to set concealer. (Posted on 9/28/15)

  4. Just what I've been looking for! Review by Megan

Pure matte white. Texture is very creamy but has no fallout whatsoever. I was debating on whether or not to get this shade or Ice Queen for the longest time but finally settled on White Lies, and couldn't be happier with my purchase! White Lies makes blending with my pale skin that much easier. So hard to find a good matte white, but my search is finally over. SO much better than Gesso by MAC in my opinion. (Posted on 6/14/15)

  5. Sheer Review by Séverine

If you are looking for a very pigmented opaque white... this is not it. It is very sheer. The texture is pretty good though, not too powdery. As I am very fair I use it as a highlight and it is nice for this purpose. (Posted on 5/11/15)

  6. very dry and not pigmented Review by BRITTANY

one of the few MUG shadows i'm not in love with. barely shows up on it's own. no matter how much you pack on. mix with shimma shimma for brow highlight (Posted on 3/29/15)

  7. Good Review by Lincoln

Really creamy but it could be a little more pigmented! Still use on a daily basis :) (Posted on 3/8/15)

  8. Great for pale skin Review by Andreja

If I use less of this I can even out the skin on my eyelids or under my eyes, since I am so pale it almost fits my skin tone :)
But if I use more of it I can highlight my browbone or inner corner. I also like to use this shadow to blend out colours.

This is one of my favourite MUG shadows and I use it daily! I would really recommend it for very pale girls. (Posted on 12/17/14)

  9. Least favourite MUG eyeshadow Review by Aoife

Now I'll start this by saying that I LOVE MUG eyeshadows. I think they're amazing quality and have approximately 18 in my z palette. This shadow is a little disappointing. It is very powdery in consistency and difficult to blend because it sheers out in to nothing. I love the white in the lorac original pro palette but this just doesn't cut it for me. Sorry Marlena x (Posted on 8/3/14)

  10. Great Review by Cristina

Really nice matte white, will definitely buy again! (Posted on 5/23/14)

  11. Nice sheer matte white. Review by Paula

This is a nice shadow, smooth, blends well. It is a very matte bright white, but somewhat sheer. Which, isn't necessarily a bad thing. It is nice for a brow highlight or as another reviewer said, an inner corner highlight if I don't want to use shimmer. If you want a matte white to round out your collection, this is a great option at a non-MAC price. (Posted on 4/15/14)

  12. it is subtle compared to others but nice Review by danielle

When I compare Gesso by MAC to my Sugar Pill tako and my matte white inglot eyeshadow, it is lacking in pigment. My friend gave White Lies to me, I use it for a matte highlight under my brow or to brighten the inner corners of my eyes without shimmer, I use it more to accentuate other shadows as opposed to using it as the ultimate white matte shade, inglot wins the race on that one, with sugar pill tako a close second. White Lies is close to Gesso in terms of how it should be used, but the texture is nicer and the color is not as neon as Gesso as another reviewer said, but both are sheer compared to the two I mentioned. (Posted on 3/31/14)

  13. My favorite matte white Review by Veronica

This is my go to highlight color when using shimmer on the lid. Today I forgot my Mac brule e/s with my sis and tried to blend out hash edges with this one and it blended so good without being too white after. And then I packed on this color under my browbone. It did a great job doing Brule's job :) it's a must have in my collection. The best matte white I've ever tried (and I have tried a lot) (Posted on 9/16/13)

  14. Perfect matte white! Review by Anne Lene

I LOVE this color!! It´s very pigmented and it stays on all day long!

  15. Beautiful, totally matte, opaque white Review by Sandra

I use this MUG shadow every time I do my eyes. It works perfectly as an under brow highlighter, an over brown highlighter (instant eyelift), an inner corner highlighter AND a totally matte highlighter anywhere on the face. I use this for lifting & contouring all the time. One of the most versatile eyeshadows I own. I rarely hit pan on anything, but I can see myself hitting pan on this shadow for sure. And when I do, I will definitely re- order. (Posted on 5/9/12)

  16. clouds! Review by Pink Star

white as the clouds, very nice matte white. (Posted on 3/8/12)

  17. At last! Review by Mariana

I've been looking for a bright matte white shadow, and MUG they heard my prayers! (Posted on 3/7/12)

  18. Great highlight Review by Wendy

I have a very pale skin, and for me this is the perfect eyeshadow to use as a highlight on my browbone. Been using this color every day, and I'm very pleased with it. Will have to repurchase if it hits pan. :) (Posted on 2/14/12)

  19. Tell Me Lies Review by Leslie

"Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies..."Most white lies are lies with good intentions. This White Lie has nothing but the best of intentions. There are so many uses for this color it would be impossible to mention them all. Needles to say, you can lie to me all day as long as I can have this color in my arsenal of eyeshadows. (Posted on 1/26/12)

  20. At least as good as Gesso Review by Tygerlilee84

I have to agree with the previous reviewers...this is at least as good as MAC's Gesso. If you want a matte white eyeshadow this is the best I've found and certainly makes paying full price for Gesso seem silly. The texture is a little chalky and thin but is still way better than Gesso. (Posted on 1/9/12)

  21. I appreciate the finished of your eyeshadows! Review by kimberly

I love how there is a wide range of MATTE eyeshadows! I find them to be more usable for everyday so I appreciate it so much! I also think you should have an option where we can create our own pallete by choosing eyeshadows that we would like. Thanks! (Posted on 1/8/12)

  22. Texture is awesome!! Review by Deana

I compared this one side by side with Gesso and Gesso is whiter than White Lies. White Lies is a more creamy white and Gesso is more neon white. However, the texture of White Lies is waaaaaaaay better than Gesso...I still like it better!! (Posted on 12/22/11)

  23. Great! Review by savvychic88

I love this color and it's very pigmented. Great staple for anyone's collection! (Posted on 12/22/11)
