  • Meh...

Review by Megan on May 1, 2012

It's not as pigmented or soft as the other MUG shadows I picked up. I wish it was truer to color...it comes off just darkish grey I'm still going to work with it and see what I can do.

    I LOVE the color!
  • Really dark

It blends OK, but you need a big fluffy brush for great.
  • Disappointing :(

Review by Jazmin on February 22, 2012

I got this one in the starter kit, and I thought the pigmentation would be better!! I've used primers and the rest to try and help it along... but it just wears off instantly and when I try to blend it the colour just disappears. Not what I thought...
  • Perfect natural purple

Review by Jemith on February 1, 2012

I adore purple shadows and this one is my absolute favorite! I find that it applies somewhat lighter than it appears on the MUG swatch. It is a gorgeous shade, and it looks lovely and natural on my fair skin. It's my go-to color for when I'm in a hurry and only have time to slap on one shadow and run. It is neutral enough to blend nicely with a wide variety of other colors. Fairytale and Purple Rain look awesome together!
  • Purple Haze (in a good way)

Review by Leslie on January 26, 2012

I loved this color. It blended remarkably with everycolor I have tried it with. And with the color being between a purple and a grey, they combination are limitless. Looks like Jimi and Prince have some competition!!!
  • Pretty but...

Review by Crys on January 21, 2012

I actually thought this shade had high pigmentation. It swatched deep and dark. I did have primer and nyx pots and pans underneath. My issue was the opposite from other reviewers, I could not get this color to blend well or soften. I used this on the outer part of my lid. I used a small crease brush to make an outer v and in crease. It was so hard to blend the color was so strong I couldn't get it to move. I used many good quality brushes and it wouldn't soften. My lids actually hurt from all the rubbing and blending attempts. I had to go over it with other shades over and over and it still didn't look right. I don't know why I had problems. I came 2seconds away from washing it off and never using it again. Maybe I'll not use so much primer and base next time. I love every shade I have, 14, and this is my least favorite. I'll try again when I am not in a rush to go anywhere just in case.. I'm sad I really wanted to use this shade.
  • Great dark purple/grey color!!

    Review by Stephanie86NL on January 11, 2012

Now this is a color I dont have in my collection yet!! It looks like a plain dark purple in the pan, but once applied it turns into a gorgeous greyish purple. Blends like a charm! However I do have to agree with savvychich88 on the pigmentation; its a bit sheer, but nothing a primer cant fix. This color is too gorgeous to pass up on!!
  • Who knew eyeshadow so dark and deeply pigmented could blend so easily!?

Review by Susan on December 26, 2011

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE these eye shadows! They are so smooth and richly colored. They also blend like a dream! I'm not new to makeup, but I have shied away from dark shades because I'm very fair and conservative. I got this one, though, 'cuz I figured inwould use it as eye liner at least. Works GREAT as liner, but it blends so well I was also able to use it for shading and contouring. Just a touch of the brush was enough for me and it blended out effortlessly (without shadow primer) but I can tell by swatching it on my arm that it easily gives deep color payout if you want it.
  • Not so great :(

    Review by savvychic88 on December 22, 2011

I really wanted to love this color but the pigmentation just isn't what I expected it to be. I would skip this color and pick a difference shadow to purchase. I love all the other colors I have purchased so far!
