  1. Uniquely beautiful! One of my favs! Review by Lacy

I was never really impressed with this shadow, seeing it online. It was the reviews that sold this to me. And my only regret was not ordering this the 1st time around. This is one of my fav MUG shadows. It is so beautiful and unique. Pigmentation is amazing. It's very smooth, minimal to no fallout. Easy to blend and work with. It stays on all day. It is a wash of grayish silver, n very subtle greenish gold undertones. It really is unlike any other shadow I own. And with my light/medium skintone and golden/yellow undertones, it looks amazing. Also, it really compliments my blue eyes. This is def a must have. (Posted on 1/6/16)

  2. I really wanted to LOVE this shadow but.. Review by Cait

it just doesn't have any depth to it. When I swatched it, it had different flecks of color in it besides just gray/silver, but on my lids it just looks like a flat gray. What stinks too is it took me patting it onto the lid a few times to get the color build up I wanted. The texture as well is kind of powdery and grainy on the lid, which I don't enjoy. It's not a BAD shadow by any means, but it's nothing special. Just an average gray. I hope the other shadows live up to higher standards. If all the shadows are this way, I don't understand what all the fuss is about. (Posted on 11/12/15)

  3. Different Review by Britt

Unique shade. Buttery and pigmented. But as a Caucasian girls with yellow undertones I have found cool tones don't suit me the best. So not very flattering on. But if this type color normally looks good on you, buy this! Very pretty and would match any outfit. (Posted on 10/20/15)

  4. Everyday. All over lid. Review by jen_cam

I really get behind all of MUG's selection of neutral colors. Best bargains on the market in my opinion. Moondust is what I use a lot as an everyday all over lid wash of color. Goes with everything, and is perfect for the office. Throw on a wing gel liner, a red lip, and you're good to go for the evening. Will definitely be repurchasing this. (Posted on 8/26/15)

  5. moon stone.. Review by Inga

it's a grey with gold/pink sheen in it. it is unique and more beautiful than the picture. (Posted on 8/8/15)

  6. Perfect!!! My fav!! Review by Amber Rae

I own 19 shadows now and this is my most used.. It's just gorgeous and the formula is amazing!! (Posted on 7/22/15)

  7. Gray shimmer Review by Nicknac

This color looks gray on me, I barely see any brown. The texture and pigmentation is excellent. (Posted on 6/7/15)

  8. so wanted to love this color...but Review by BRITTANY

it's a beautiful color and concept but just doesn't show up on lids like it's swatched here. not even close. buy prom night instead. similar enough and it's 100x prettier. (Posted on 3/29/15)

  9. Insanley Beautiful Review by ZAKIA

An absolute favourite. Unique have no other colour like this. This and MAC patina all time favourite's. (Posted on 2/5/15)

  10. Unique Review by Rene

Moon dust is definitely one of MUG's special eyeshadows where you can't really describe it. It looks one way in the pan, but when you apply it to the lid, it just transforms your whole look. The color payoff is excellent, very pigment, long-lasting. If you want it to really pop, use a white base, NYX's milk is what I use. Awesome for ALL skin tones. (Posted on 2/2/15)

  11. A warmer version of MAC's Satin Taupe Review by TINA

Like MUG's Homecoming, this is a warmer version of Satin Taupe and is really like no other color I have in my collection. It is beautiful and super pigmented. It is also very soft and blend able...even with a finger! (Posted on 8/24/14)

  12. Beautiful on the hand but dull on the eyes Review by alexa

I love love LOVE colors like moondust and I was very satisfied with the swatch when I first opened it and swatched it. However, when I put it on my eyes it just looks grey :( (I have rather fair, neutral toned skin) but it's still a great color that you can do a lot with and it just might be exactly the color someone else is looking for! (Posted on 8/16/14)

  13. Gorgeous Review by Megan

Beautiful silvery color. I wear it on special occasions to give my look a little more of a unique depth instead of typical dark brown or black. Love it, it flatters my fair skin tone and blue eyes so well! (Posted on 6/30/14)

  14. Amazing neutral, but not boring.... Review by Paula

This is a completely unique silvery taupe shimmery shadow. I have nothing like it, and I have a lot of shadows. Very high quality, buttery soft in the pan, amazing payout. This would be amazing for a smoky eye that was just a bit softer than something black-ish. So glad I added this to my collection. Moondust is the perfect name for it... (Posted on 6/16/14)

  15. Unique and stunning!!! Review by Megan

This eyeshadow is an awesome one!!!!! Marlena you are an angel sent from above to make us look as beautiful as we can possibly be. Thank you for EVERYTHING you do. (Posted on 6/11/14)

  16. Completely Unique Color Review by Teagan

I really don't know how to describe this color. The picture doesn't do it justice, but I think every skin tone should order this color. It is very pigmented and lasts quite few hours. I have fair skin and my favorite way to wear it is packed on the lid with a brow highlight. It is looks beautiful and polished and is so easy. It also looks beautiful in a brown or purple smokey eye. (Posted on 6/3/14)

  17. :) Review by Lydia

One of my favourites eyeshadow. Nice color. Very wearable. Very easy to blend. It's a special kind of neutral.

Una de mis sombras favoritas, por su color, fácil de combinar y difuminar. Es una especie de color neutro pero muy especial :) se la recomiendo a todo el mundo. Un básico diferente. (Posted on 5/24/14)

  18. Very pretty everyday color Review by Becki

Great everyday color. I was leary when I purchased this color because I have aging eyes and was worried the imperfections in my lids would stand out but this is not the case. I love the Makeup Geek shadows because they are not overly shimmery and they don't have all the fall out out that some other leading brands have. (Posted on 4/23/14)

  19. Lancome eyeshadow love affair of 17 years has ended ! Review by Juli

Marlene your eyeshadows are simply amazing. I have worn and loved Lancome eyeshadows for 17 years. I thought I would never find a brand of eyeshadow that could compare in such beautiful pigmentation and long lasting wear as Lancome until Make Up Geek. Furthermore to add to my surprise was finding that MUG's Moondust reminds me of one of my all time favorite colors from Lancome called Platinum which was discontinued a long time ago. Don't even get me started on the price point difference. MUG eyeshadows are of the highest quality and wonderfully affordable. MUG has high-end makeup quality without the high end prices. Thank you! (Posted on 3/14/14)

  20. Take me to the moon! Review by Orlena

This colour has like a purple and pink shimmer to it! Just gorgeous! (Posted on 3/8/14)

  21. One of the best eye shadows you will ever own! Review by Janelle

I love this eye shadow. It is such a unique color and it is one of those you can just throw on and go, no additional blending colors. I own 26 MUG shadows and 7 pigments and I am loving them all. I use them almost everyday. I've hit pan on "Moondust" and am replacing it with the new order I am making today. Thank you so much Marlena for never skipping quality :D. (Posted on 2/14/14)

  22. It Lasts...And Lasts...And Lasts Review by Seana

Got this at the PO & opened it in the car! Swiped it on my lids with my pinky & carried on with the day...Long story, short: broke my arm on the ice that night, went to home the next am & went right to up late afternoon, visited with many wellwishers and FINALLY looked in a mirror that evening..."Moondust" was STILL there! After 35 hours! Moral of the story...wear MUG shadows for all your high risk'll look fabulous for days! (Posted on 1/1/14)

  23. perfect neutral Review by GHYW

This colour lives up to all the hype. It's pretty unique, it's a light taupe brown with subtle hints of gold and olive. (Posted on 12/1/13)

  24. Beautiful silver gold taupe Review by Elaine

Actual shadow much more dimensional in person than on my computer. I see silver and almost rose gold in a nice taupe base, but not glittery or too much! Can be daytime or nighttime shadow. I have never been disappointed in any of my many shadows from MUG. I can see this with fall colors of gold and copper yet will be beautiful with grey and silver. Just gorgeous (Posted on 11/15/13)

  25. LOVE!! Review by anja

A great lid color for a brown smokey eye :)
Beautiful glow and great pigmentation :) (Posted on 7/11/13)

  26. Great! Review by Annie

Such a pretty color, it has a great shimmer and the color is amazing. (Posted on 1/8/13)

  27. Love it! Review by mrsmarrtin

As the reviewers has said, this colour is gorgeous. I wear it on its own; with black smudged eyeliner for a shimmery smoky eye, or for something warmer I pair it with club eyeshadow by mac (a deep brown) & shimma shimma OR golden moss eyeliner by gosh (a metallic khaki). Love it, love it, love it! (Posted on 11/25/12)

  28. Gorgeous Color Review by Akiiaa

I received this color a while ago and being new to makeup, wasn't quite sure what to do with it. The truth is, you don't NEED to do anything. This alone on the lid with some mascara or with something darker in the outer V to smoke it out is amazing. It's my go to color. It's so ridiculously creamy too. A must have. (Posted on 10/30/12)

  29. My favorite eyeshadow Review by Maya

I think this is really the most amazing color I've ever seen, plus it's multiple, subtle reflects makes it wearable with sooooo much colors !
But even on its own it's really, really chic.

PS: I've tried it with the MAC pigment Blue Brown (Moondust on the eyelid and Blue Brown in a sorta outer V, well blended + Shimmz Shimma in the inner corner). And strangely, they paired up amazingly ! I got compliments all day ! If you got this pigment, really try it ;) (Posted on 9/1/12)

  30. Moonstruck!!! cont Review by JENNIFER

I stand by my previous post, I love this color, it is close to UD's Sidecar, a must have for your MUG collection (Posted on 8/31/12)

  31. Moonstruck!!! Review by JENNIFER

I am in love with this color!! I recommend that everyone buys it!!! (Posted on 8/30/12)

  32. Moontastic! Review by Carly

One thing I noticed is that whenever I use this colour the results look as if a professional had done my make up. Something about Moondust's colour and shine that is sophistocated and chic and looks good on absoloutely everyone. (Posted on 8/29/12)

  33. STUNNING! Review by Krisztina

a gorgeous shimmery taupe shade, very pigmented, looks so amazing on the skin!!! (Posted on 8/3/12)

  34. One of my fav! Review by Cindy

I really, really love this color! Beautiful color and pigmentation, it goes smoothly on my eyes without any fall outs. Blends easily and looks great on my Asian skin. My Z-Palette is now filled with 7 MUG eye shadows and I will not stop buying till I have every collection! :D (Posted on 7/13/12)

  35. Beautiful color and quality Review by beth

I am a makeup artist working mainly on brides, and I have yet to find a color quite like this. It is a little warmer than MAC Satin Taupe and such a beautiful color on its own or built up with a deeper color for a smokey eye. I may even buy a second for my own personal use :) (Posted on 7/6/12)

  36. Love it! Review by jennifer

This is such a cool color. If you could magically mix satin taupe and patina by mac you would get this shade. Its both warm and cool toned at the same time (yes I know that sounds impossible, but its true). Of all my shadows it is most similar to satin taupe, but not so much that I feel bad owing both. (Posted on 6/5/12)

  37. OMG... great colour !! Review by Anne

I love it... it creates a great taupe colour and pigmentation is great !!! better than MAC I think... (Posted on 5/24/12)

  38. Really good quality eyeshadow, nice shade Review by Sandra

This MUG shadow leans a tad green on my skin, so I get a slightly greenish-silver grey. The finish is gorgeous, I get no fallout using this at all, & it's got a very buttery texture. Great neutral for anybody IMO. Glad I decided on this one. (Posted on 5/9/12)

  39. Adore it! Review by Megan

I will probably never fork over money for a MAC shadow again. These are just that good. This shadow is gorgeous and easily blendable. I find it's a bit lighter than the swatch online, but it's still lovely. (Posted on 5/1/12)

  40. My new favourite everyday eyeshadow. Review by Andria

My absolute fave at the moment! I usually use MAC's Satin Taupe for my everyday look, but i've found myself reaching for this instead. I will be reordering this. (Posted on 3/25/12)

  41. AMAZING! Review by Nuria

I'm a huge fan of MAC and NARS eyeshadows, but they are very expensive... (I'm Spanish Girl, MAC Eyeshadows are 13€ ($17.50) and NARS single eyeshadows costs 24,50€ ($32.50)) But this eyeshadows are amazing, good pigmentation, gorgeous colours.... I'm in love! (Posted on 3/21/12)

  42. My FAVORITE ever. EVER!!! Review by Marion

I'm a huge neutral buff, and I have found my everyday-wash-over-the-lids look. I pair it with the eyeshadow "Preppy" to go in the crease, and add some Shimma Shimma to the inner tear duct on the lid and first third of the bottom lash line, and then Moondust on the bottom outer 2/3. Seriously, I absolutely love how it looks! I used to stick to my UD Naked palette for my everyday looks, but Moondust kicked that palette to the back seat.

I had an idea that it would be a great eyeshadow from the reviews, but I didn't expect it to become my favorite eyeshadow. I'll be stocking up on this one very soon! (Posted on 3/18/12)

  43. Love it!!! Review by Pink Star

Moondust is now my favorite color out of all my eyeshadows. I absolutely love it! creamy, blends easily, pigmented...I just cant say enough about this color. love, love, love it!!! (Posted on 2/29/12)

  44. Unique shade, beautiful! Review by Mariella

Moondust is described as a silvery taupe, I would say it is Mac Vex and Patina's love child! Such a gorgeous complex color, with a creamy texture that is easy to apply and to blend. Pigmentation is awesome too.
For me, definitely a unique shade and one of the must haves from the MUG range! (Posted on 1/13/12)

  45. FAB!! Review by Jaymi luvs makeup

This is the color I have searched for for years. There is nothing like it in any collections. It is that perfect combo of brown and grey with shimmer. Most taupes have a maroon tone but this is a true taupe. It also has a lot of dimension to it like Patina. I wanted it to look the way it shows online and it does. LOVE IT! (Posted on 1/12/12)

  46. Gorgeous!!! Review by GabrielaPaz

i love the tone, its just amazing, i made a excelence choice (Posted on 1/10/12)

  47. Amazing!!! Review by Kirky J

This colour is absolutely gorgeous. A shimmery silver taupe shade, this is perfect for day or night. I received a lot of comments wearing this e/s. Made my blue eyes really come alive. Looks great smudged under the lower lashline. Well done on getting the colour just right. (Posted on 1/4/12)

  48. pretty! Review by roxy481

i had tried mac's satin taupe before, and hated it, but i love this! really good quality, a little goes a long way.
beautiful on the lid with maybe mac espresso in the crease (Posted on 12/31/11)

  49. Wow! Review by NerdyLibrarianGirl

This looks and feels like such a high quality eye shadow. Definitely comparable to products that are three or four times the price. Moondust is swatched next to Patina, but I like it even more than Patina. Its a much cooler toned silver, with an almost veluxe pearl finish. Spectacular! (Posted on 12/23/11)
