Since everyone has been requesting looks with this newest Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, I finally decided to break down and buy it to review. Yes yes, I know I’m a bit late on it!
The first one was such a huge hit, that I knew this one would be the same… I definitely like the case on this one better (sturdier to travel with), but I’m not a big fan of the mostly cool toned colors. Don’t get me wrong, the colors are still gorgeous and have amazing pigmentation and blend-ability. I just find it harder to pull off some of the gray tinted colors as they make me look a bit tired.
My favorite colors are “Busted”- a purple brown color, and “YDK”- a metallic taupe. Just like the original Naked, there’s a great variety in textures- 4 matte/satin finish and 8 metallic finish. The case is very sturdy and well made but not as creative as the original palette. I still prefer this packaging though as I travel with mine often and this metal case doesn’t get beat up rattling around in my suitcase 
What I love:
- The quality of the eyeshadows- very pigmented, smooth, and easy to blend
- The variety of colors and finishes
- The sleek metal case holds up well for travel
- Has a mirror so you can apply makeup on the go
- Very well made and well thought out palette
What I hate:
- There are too many cool colors that are difficult for more mature skin to pull off (grays and cool colors can emphasize bags under the eyes)
- Wish it would have included a mini eye primer instead of lipgloss so I could have an all in one eye kit

Hi I have the urban decay palette one but can u please create a few more looks for palette 2 cuz they really are good quality shadows and I wouldn’t mind buying the second one as long as I have some looks that I can create with it. Love love love ur videos!
Ive got this palette and do like the colors but I don’t know if it’s just mine but I didn’t think the black was good quality. Could just be mine though
I have both and love both. Bootycall is perfect worn alone on the tear duct, center of lid, and brow bone.
I wonder if they could put the Urban Decay One Pallet in the Urban Decay Two case. It would then be perfecto!

I dont know if i waant to get a pallette its to hard to choose..
I just think its important to say that Half Baked is in both palettes which is the golden color she said that she loved in Naked 1. And I cannot believe how nice her Naked 1 palette looks. The wording on mine has peeled off and looks awful. also the Naked 1 palette does include a brush as well. It no longer comes with an eye liner and the brush is a different one than the Naked 2 palette but it is synthetic as well. Just wanted to add this info.
Just bought Naked…absolutely love it! I’ve had for just under two weeks and I think I’ve used it everyday! Thanks for the swatches of Naked 2…definitely want it as well! I’m a both kinda girl…don’t like choosing!

I’m still on the fence with the Naked palettes. I love Urban Decay, I like a lot of the colours in both palettes, but I actually own several of the colours, because I do own other UD eyeshadows.
I will say, they sure are pretty.
i think theres to many shimmer in the naked pallet 2 i like 1 way better more variety
I love the Naked Palette 1 so much I felt I just had to have Naked 2. So, I was very excited when my palette arrived. Beautiful colors, however a bit too cool toned for me. I would have loved to see more matte or perhaps satin finishes in the palatte as well for more mature. I also perfer the original case and the eye primer it came with even though the lip gloss is a nice nude to suit most people!
Needless to say. with the cool tones and too many shimmery colors, I decided to return the palette since I will never be able to pull off the eyeshadows on myself and I have 3 sons and no daughters to give it too!
i think the naked pallete 1 is better for darker skintone and naked pallet 2 for fair skin. do you agree with me ??
I love Naked 1. 6 of my friends bought one after seeing mine. I have used it for many weddings and special occasion makeovers. Clients have gone and bought one afterwards too. Not so keen on Naked 2. Im italian and quite dark and have just turned 40 so i find there are too many sparkly light shades but still quite like it for younger faces.
The NAKED 1 palette is the best thing ever!! I really wish my palette had come with the eyeliner but I got mine later and they changed it to a brush.
I love both palettes, especially since I have brown eyes. The metallic colors make my eyes pop, but I wish they had more matte colors. I actually like the Naked Lip Junkie that came along with it. I think I’m gonna get the full product at Sephora. Thanks for your opinion Marlena. Love ya!
i love both! i’m very fair and warm toned and N2 has silvers/pewters that are more neutral than cool, so i can wear them. i LOVE bootycall. perfect color for my skin tone. my only negative criticism is the hinge is made of plastic and i wonder if it will split eventually?
It kind of makes me itchy that two of Marlena’s big talking points for Naked 1 don’t make much sense. She loves that it has Half Baked, but BOTH palettes have that color! And she loves that it comes with an eyeliner, but it DOESN’T anymore. Hasn’t for months. Now both palettes come with brushes, instead.
I guess I’m just surprised that she wouldn’t already know both of those things (especially that Half Baked is in both – that one doesn’t take much detective work!).
In any case, both palettes are lovely. But I’m the opposite of Marlena, in that cool colors look much better on me, and warms can make me look a bit sickly. So 2 is more in my vein.
…odd question. Where did you get those lamps? lol. And i think i might go get this palette.
Love N2, I have green eyes (and currently) red hair and the 1 palette just really didn’t work for me. Busted and snakebite are my absolute favorites in this one, incredibly flattering, I have worn something out of this every day since I got it two weeks ago. I modified her Olivia Wilde look to work with the colors in N2 and it is fab! Bought the full sized lip junkie in Naked, it is gorgeous too.

I really like the Naked 2 pallet and I was planning on just buying that because I felt like the colors were pretty similar. I was surprised when I received the Naked 1 pallet for an unexpected Christmas gift and I’m actually really pleased with both. I feel the same way about the brushes though…they feel so nice but at the same time they are a bit too soft and I get too much fallout when I use them…the packaging on the Naked 2 pallet is superb and it really is a shame that they didn’t think of that when creating the first pallet…they both get 5 stars in my book for great pigmentation and awesome/unique colors, but the Naked 1 gets a thumbs down for the somewhat flimsy packaging (I’m also not a huge fan of velvet lol).
I guess I was lucky in that I did receive a free sample size UD primer potion with the first pallet and I love the stuff! I got a free sample of a really nice gold eye liner along with the lipgloss when I ordered the Naked 2 pallet. The lipgloss was meh in my opinion…the color wasn’t that great and it was really separated when I got it (the tube is nearly impossible to squeeze to get it to mix). I could have got a bad egg but for now I don’t think I’ll invest in any of UDs lip glosses.
I’ve had the naked2 palette for about two weeks and I DON’T like it, sadly. I feel like the colors get muddy when blended, the color payoff sucks, and there’s tons of fall out. I’m gonna keep trying it and hope I change my mind – but that seems unlikely.

I couldn’t care less that it wasn’t mentioned that Half Baked was in both palettes and Naked 1 now comes with a brush instead of eyeliner, like it did when it first came out. They both seem like great palettes and which one you should buy depends on personal taste. Keep up the good work Marlena!
For those who have brown eyes and own both palettes, try using Pistol from N2 all over the lid, then use Gunmetal from N1 in the outer v and in the crease. Blend it using either Naked or Buck from N1. I’m African-American, so I use Buck.
I have the Naked palette. I like the colours and the pigment is great, but I think it´s 2 warm for me!

I bought the Naked 2 palette about 2 weeks ago and really like it. I was at our local ULTA store and couldn’t decide which palette to get, they had both. I have green/hazel eyes and love all the colors. I must say though, several of them are very similar in shade. I may consider purchasing the Naked one palette but that one also has several that are similar. I do like the lip junkie, very pretty shade.

It just came with a brush… Did they change it and just put the brush? Or could be a mistake?
Hello everyone! I have fair skin and warm tones tend to look too harsh, like I’m emo or something. I love the Naked 2 palette because of its cool tones, which suit my skin nicely! I was actually scared of the first because of its dark, warm colors. I think whatever tones work best for you should dictate the pallette you buy… and half baked is in both because it looks great on all skin tones!

Hi guys! first, thanks Marlena for all the good work, you’re awesome!!!! Second, I haven’t seen anybody here mention it, but have anybody seen the NYX Nude on Nude palette? It has 20 neutral eye shadows and 10 vibrant lip colors. It is awesome, has a lot of matte shadows, great pigmentation as always, good quality and very very nice colors. This palette costs approx. $23.

I was wondering if you felt that the colors in naked 1 palette were better colors to wear during the day then the colors in naked palette 2? And if you thought the colors in naked 1 or 2 were better for someone with really dark brown eyes?
