Overall Opinion:
This is an amazing product for smoothing out the area under the eyes! I love how it creates a smooth base for my concealer and/or foundation so it doesn’t cake up or settle in any lines. I only wish it was a bit cheaper and had a stronger color so I could use it without anything on top.

Looks nice but it is kinda expensive!! What do you think is better? This product or Bobbi Brown’s corrector for undereye circles?
It depends on if your undereye area is dry- if so, then get the Per-fekt one. If your main concern is dark circles, get the Bobbi Brown
i have a scar on my face, sometimes it get red what do you recomend for me to cover it with ?its right over my eye
Thanks for sharing. It is expensive, i sometimes have dark circles under my eyes, especially when not having enough sleep. I’ve tried using concealer to hide it, but never works. And other products out there. I might give it a try on this one. Thanks again for sharing.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff! I got a sample with a Sephora purchase and let me tell you~being in my early 30s, starting to notice a few lines and my circles are more noticeable~this stuff works very well!! Kinda of pricey so it is on my “to get” list!
I love this stuff. I also got a sample of it from sephora and loved the way it made my eyes feel and look. I also am 30 something and dark circles are my number one enemy! I loved the way it made my eyes look so well rested and it was a great base for my concealer. I actually used less because of this product. The sample lasted quite a bit for a sample, so you wouldn’t have to use much of it. The bad thing is the price
( I have been looking for a cheaper alternative as well, but have found nothing that feels quite the same or works as well. This is one thing that is on my “products I have to get” list. Marlena, let us know if you find a cheaper alternative. I’m always looking for something to help hide these darned circles!!!
I actually purchased High Brow by Benefit last night and I put some in my waterline, under my eyebrows and it really gave them a listing effect, I also put a little bit over my Bobby Brown concealer and blended really well and WOW – it really has a great brigtening effect around my eyes! Highly recommended!
I meant LIFTING effect; not listing effect
Oh my goodness Marlena, you have such good tips n’ tricks but there hasn’t been a tutorial in FOREVER.
Feel like getting back into it soon? The world needs you, guru.
I was wondering if you could recommend something to cleanse the eye area. I use Mary Kay eye makeup remover and it works great but I go through a lot and it gets expensive. What do you use?
You can actually use Olive Oil- just make sure to wash your face right afterwards, but the natural oil breaks down the makeup and is gentle on the eyes
HEEEEEEY, good idea! As I’ve said before, Im a bargainista so I love this recommendation. I love trying things and compairing prices and packaging, sort of a new hobby. will try this today.
Violet-
I use the Jane Iredale wash mit!!!! It has no chemicals to mesh with your acid mantel on your face and u only use warm water and the mit and it grabs EVERYTHING off ur face!!! It is only $15 and can be used over and over!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! And it never runs out like makeup remover!!!!yay!!!! lol U can wash it in the laundry and hang to dry!!! When I am done I use antibactrial soap on it and hang it to dry at night and it is really soft on the skin and it removers mascara too!!! It was a GREAT find for me!!!! Marlena if you haven’t tried it you need to get ya one!!! I LOVE IT!!!
Tara-
Thanks so much. I just ordered one. I’m a single mom with 4 kids and my youngest is disabled. I am soooo excited. You don’t know how much I spend on makeup remover.
I found some samples of this on ebay (3 for $5) and tried it out and agree with Marlena’s review that it goes on super smooth and that it does need a little more color to it but i still like it. It is pricey but from using the samples i have noticed that a tini bit goes a long way so ill stick with samples for now. Thanks Marlena for giving me another option for hiding my dark circles and wrinkles!

Do you know of any other products that aren’t too expensive but help with dark circles? I’m 20 years old and have really dark genetically inherited circles under my eyes all the time (I’ve had them ever since I can remember), and either I can’t cover them or I end up looking like a raccoon in pictures. I use Estee Lauder concealer in light ivory, which works well for my skin tone (which is a white/pink complexion, so I find yellowish concealers to stand out on their own rather than blend in) but I really just want to have no visible dark circles for once! Makeup artists have tried to cover them and even they don’t have suggestions. I am contemplating trying this product, but do you have any other suggestions for really dark, noticeable circles under the eye? And something that would blend seamlessly in with the rest of my face? I know more yellowish concealers counteract the blue, but it’s hard to make them blend in afterwards when they don’t match my skin.
I think you would really benefit from a peach colored concealer instead of yellow- you need that bit of orange to help hide the blueness of the circles. See if you can get a sample of Bobbi Brown’s concealer to try- you would be “Light Peach”
really ouch i won’t pay that much for shoes!
This is a bit expensive. I would have to try a sample first. Marlena do you have any before and after pics of you using this? I am an AA woman in her late 20′s and I have dark circles and would like to know if this would work. I have the Bobbi Brown concealer in almond and it is a bit too yellow.
Hi Marlena,
Any suggestions on inexpensive face makeup remover. I use one from Lancome which is the Crème Radiance Clarifying Cream-to-Foam Cleanser but it’s a little expensive for me know.
P.S. I just found out about your site and have found to very helpful.
Ive recommended before to use unscented baby wipes to effectively remove makeup. I saw once that a talk show host who had to wear extremely heavy makeup used them, so I tried it and I promise you, I wont go back. For $4 its worth $100 for the care of your skin. Hope this helps.
THANK YOU for sharing all your advice! You are beutiful, and you encourage us all to not only be, but live beautifully! Your attitude is infectious! My sister is a lot younger, and I am not there to help her “figure out” make up. I will pass along this site, as you have an amazing talent. Thank you!
hi i have a problem with dark Circles under my eyes and was wondering if there is anything to help hide them, i have tried so many things and they do not work. also it has to be not that high in price please help me!!!!!!!!
I actually just recently bought this product, luckily i had a sephora giftcard because the price is a bit insane. Im 21 and am not big on concealors or foundations yet cause my skin has yet to require it but i have always had dark circles under my eyes. The tint is exactly what i need and love that it contains vitamins A and E as well as alpha lipoic acid, which is said to be a great anti-aging source
Overall really liked this product but the price is a big turn-off especially for a student
Marlena, just want you to know you are truly beautiful & really amazingly talented
You have really inspired me to finally get serious about losing the weight which has held me back for as long as i can remember and finally getting healthy
Btw, probably a dumb question but do you work in NY? Would love to hire you to do my makeup for a special occasion
Does the NYX Orange Concealer hide/conceal blue undereye issues?
