NUXE Dream Honey Lipbalm Review
NUXE is a French company inspired by Natures Laboratory. The name NUXE stands for Nature and Luxury, so when I got the Dream Honey Lipbalm I was excited to try it out!
It comes in a frosted glass jar with a white plastic lip and for 15g it retails for $21. The NUXE website has a list of their retailers.
The product reads
It nourishes and repairs dry and cracked lips, suitable for all ages, fragrance-free and preservative-free formula suitable for use of the most delicate of skins, ideal base for the most richly pigmented lipsticks. The active ingredients are Honey, Shea Butter and Plant Oils.
My Thoughts
It’s a lip treatment or conditioner rather than a lip gloss. It’s got a matte texture once applied so it doesn’t leave your lips sticky or oily. It absorbs quickly into your lips to leave them smooth and hydrated.
You can apply lipstick over the top or you can use it as a night treatment and apply it before bed.
I’ve read other reviews of people with really dry and chapped lips and this has worked well for them. The only thing that I don’t particularly like is the grainy texture it has when you first apply it, although, once blended and warmed up on your lips it absorbs fine. The smell is a honey/citrus scent which is quite pleasant and there is no taste. It would be good to use in winter to prevent dry lips and to maintain nice, smooth lips.
