She isn’t a very smiley person, but her voice isn’t bad. She did show some expression. I don’t think she was that bad. She is as good as many of the other makeup gurus out there, in my opinion.

it’s the Portuguese word for passionfruit, it’s found in a lot of places besides Brazil.
It smells amazing so I have high expectations for this product, however, I hadn’t realized that it really had any cosmetic value! It’s my favourite fruit!
LOVE tarte products. I had bought the collection before this one. It was similar to this one. Amazing stuff. I already spend too much money on makeup this month LOL!! Hate to say this, but I felt like she had no passion for the products. Oh well, have a great day!

I think she did fine, it probably takes practice to talk in front of a camera. She sounded intelligent as opposed to ditzy. Beautiful products.

Very knowledgeable review. My lashes tend to lose their curl straight away after mascara application. I will try your trick with this and other mascaras. Thanks for the tip.

I’ve been watching Makeup Geek’s videos for years, and this is the worst video I’ve seen. The information is helpful, but the reviewer is so boring I couldn’t get through the whole video… Maybe she’s just new, but this just isn’t on the same caliber as the rest of the girls on MUG : /
I completely disagree with what you are saying. I have been a loyal subscriber of both Marlena and Whitney for a while now, and I would have to say Whitney is one of the best gurus that Marlena could get. She is far more knowledgeable and presentable than someone like say Paige. Whitney has a pretty large following on youtube, and she does a great job with all of her videos.
I’ve been subscribed to Whitney too for just about a month and though she’s not the most ”vivacious” person she’s at least considerably knowledgeable concerning makeup and I feel her makeup looks are generally universally flattering as well, which is something not many gurus can achieve. I don’t think people have come to realize how difficult it can be to sit and talk at length to an inanimate camera and come off ” charismatic” lol. It’s next to impossible, unless you’re really familar with it like our Marlena. Give Whiteney a break! she’s fabulous.

Agreed! I would have liked some pictures of swatches instead of her holding her hand so far away from the camera. I ordered this the other day and it was hard to pick out a concealer color.

My only complaint/ request about the review would be that I wished you showed the eye cream color, with a swatch on the skin and also the color of the eyeliner with a swatch, kinda hard to see the colors just from the ad pic. In the comments on the video on youtube, Whitney said that she did swatch those colors, but it was edited out, and that she doesn’t do the editing for MUG stuff. I can tell you from experience of watching her videos on her main channel that she always swatches everything, so I’m not sure why it was taken out by the editor. The swatches definitely help!!!!

Is the mascara waterproof?
Just spoke with QVC. The bronzed and oil do come with it, it’s just not shown in the pic because they are a bonus for ordering.
Strange, because I called them and they said it didn’t come with it :\
I just spent 30 mins with the lady on the phone and she said it does not come with nor did she see it ever came with that. She said it does not come with the bronzer or oil…. if they offered it before they should at least say they did and it was sold out. And it doesn’t make sense how those two things come with it in a 8 piece set and yet it’s still an 8 piece set without those two items. That does not make sense…
I just received my set and it had the 2 bonus pieces in there.

I liked the presentation alot. I think Whitney did a great job. For those of you who are worrying about not getting the oil and bronzer, you will get it. Some ladies I know pre-ordered it and all of them got both, so you only get it in the first shipment on the auto-delivery plan.
I’m guessing that is her first time in front of the camera…she did well, but it does take practice..and Marlena can’t do everything, that’s why she has great help!
