Make Up For Ever Uplight Face Luminizer Gel
I have been absolutely in love with the Make Up For Ever Uplight Face Luminizing Gel this summer. My favorite way to use the gel is mixing it with my foundation. It looks gorgeous when mixed with foundation and gives you that allover healthy glow! On the days I don’t mix it with my foundation I will use it to to highlight the tops of my cheekbones and I’ll even dab a little on my cupids bow. I think this is a great luminizing gel! I am so happy it has a pump however, it does seem to pump out a little too much, so you have to be careful with that. I’ve found that you only need to use a tiny bit of the gel and a little bit definitely goes a long way! It also seems to have quite a bit of glitter and is very shimmery! So make sure you don’t use too much or else you might look like a disco ball! =)
My shade is (21 Pearly White). I think this shade would work best for fair to medium skin tones. There are a total of eight shades of the luminizing gel and three different finishes to choose from.
My biggest complaint with this gel is that it dries really fast and sometimes can be hard to work with if you’re highlighting your cheekbones. I found that if you use too much when highlighting it can pull up some of your foundation and look blotchy. When highlighting my cheekbones I found using a small stippling brush worked best as it really helped blending it in.

Thanks for the review! I’ve been looking to get a highlighter for my cheeks (other than eyeshadows) & was hoping for a good review on a product. You’re very sweet. Thanks again!
Love your eyeshadow. What color and brand is it? Can you do a tutorial on your eye makeup? Looks great!
I love face luminizers! The Make UP forever reminds me of smashbox luminizers. Too much comes out of the pump & a little difficult to work with to make it look natural.
I’ve been using Philosophy divine illumination that comes in a compact, cream form. Love it!! The color is more natural looking & easy to work with.
With any luminizer you can touch it up with a primer to make it blend better. Luminizers are a god send for aging skin.
I agree with Mary, I couldn’t keep my eyes off your eyeshadow. Purple is my favorite color for my eyes and I love the way you applied yours. A tutorial would be great! Are you wearing the luminizer in this video? Your makeup has a matte finish so I was wondering if you had the product on. I’d like to know what it looks like when you apply it. I’m not a big fan of luminizers, I’ve seen too many women apply too much of these products and you’re right, they look like disco balls. LOL! Anyway, keep up the great work on your reviews. I love love this site!
