Enough blabbing…. On to the best blushes ever!

Marlena

1.  Kat Von D Everlasting Blush – Wish

Kat-Von-D-Everlasting-Face-Shaper-Blush-Wish

I have been using Kat Von D blushes for a couple of years now and love the smooth finish they give! “Wish” is my favorite color.  It’s a soft peach with a slight sheen to it that gives the skin an amazing subtle glow.

Price:  $25.00
Where to Buy: Sephora

2.  NARS Powder Blush – Amour

amour

NARS is known for having some of the best high end blushes.  Their color “Orgasm” has won an award every year for several years now. BUT, I chose the color Amour as my ‘best of’ because of it’s  beautiful matte finish and warm pink tones that are flattering on every skin color.

Price:  $28.00
Where to Buy: Sephora

3.  Inglot Powder Blush – #20

Inglot # 20

Inglot is also known for having smooth, creamy, and pigmented blushes but without the high price tag that other makeup companies charge.  This color #20 is the perfect matte pink that brightens your cheeks without being overpowering.

Price:  $11.00
Where to Buy: Inglot

4.  MAC Powder Blush – Melba

melba

To warm up the skin, this muted peach color, Melba is perfect.  It doesn’t look too orange and the matte finish doesn’t emphasize acne scars or pores like some shimmery blushes tend to do.

Price:  $22.00
Where to Buy: Nordstrom

5.  Makeup Geek Blush – Rendezvous

rendezvous-pan_1_1

Makeup Geek Rendezvous is a gorgeous warm rose color that looks great on everyone! Its matte finish gives a natural color to the skin, and the smooth talc-free formula is perfect for those with sensitive skin.  Did I mention these blushes are paraben free and cruelty free too? And made in the USA!

Price:  $9.99
Where to Buy: Makeup Geek Store

6.  Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush – Tipsy

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blusher_Tipsy 02

I own almost every single one of Tarte’s blushes. Why? Because many of them are matte finish, they come in lots of colors, and the formula is very pigmented and smooth.  This color Tipsy looks amazing on medium to dark skin as the coral color adds lots of warmth to your cheeks.

Price:  $25.00
Where to Buy: Sephora

7.  Makeup Geek Blush – Secret Admirer

For something different, try this purple toned blush!  No need to feel intimidated because the color is very wearable! With it’s purpley-pink tint, Secret Admirer is perfect for spring/summer, and is a great choice for adding in a unique blush to your collection.

Price:  $9.99
Where to Buy: Makeup Geek Store

8.  NYX Cream Blush – Rose Petal

NYX Cream Blush_Rose Petal

NYX also makes some amazing cream blushes, but without the hefty price tags of other makeup lines.  I love this color “Rose Petal“. It’s a muted warm pink.  It looks great on every skin color- from fair to dark.

Price:  $6.50
Where to Buy: Ulta

9.  Stila Convertible Color – Petunia

Stila Convertable Color_Petunia

I’m not sure why I didn’t discover these cream blushes sooner. They’re amazing!  I just wish Stila made more shades!  “Petunia” is a brighter warm pink that looks great on medium to dark skin. It adds a youthful glow to the cheeks and doesn’t look oily or feel sticky.  The best part:  you can use this on your lips too for a lipgloss. :)

Price:  $19
Where to Buy: Sephora

Because so many blushes are aimed at medium skin, I wanted to share a few of my favorites for both fair skin and dark skin as well.

Fair Skin:

  • Benefit Powder Blush in Dandelion
  • Makeup Geek Blush in Bliss
  • Kat Von D Blush in Wish
  • Stila Convertible Color in Peony

Hello. I’ve been really into Tarte and NYX blushes, but I’m not sure what shades to choose from since there are many and of various shades. I’m Asian with light-medium to medium skin. I think I have a yellow undertone but it looks like I have a pink undertone, maybe because I have a lot of blemishes, scars and acne around my face, including the cheek area. Can you recommend shades for Tarte and NYX blushes? Thank you!

Another fabulous video Marlena… thanks to you I have an assortment of fabulous blushes now from NYX to Tarte and beyond… really do love the Tarte ones, they are such good quality and go on and last well. Thanks again x

I love the tarte blushes also, but a couple more fantastic blushes that could be added are LORAC Baked Matte Satin blushes in Velvet Rope and Exposed. They are my new favorites!

Hopefully we’ll be seeing Mug blushes in the next Blushers review! Can’t wait until you have them!!Great review, the Tarte blushes look beautiful especially the true peach ones, unfortunately not available in Ireland :(.Thanks for great review xx

NARS Powder Blush – Amour ..I swear, funny that this exact blush was posted. Just last week I ordered it online through Sephora and received it a few days ago. I gotta say, I absolutely love it, best of all is that I didn’t even have to pay for it, a friend of mine showed me a site where I got an instant 40 dollar promo code to Sephora and I only had to do a short survey on the computer. It won’t let me do it again, I tried but no luck. Anyways, I thought I’d share it: http://www.sephoradaily.com

My all-time favorite blush is Laura Gellar’s Pink Grapefruit. It goes with everything (despite “pink” being in the name, you can wear it just was well with warm colors).
