Armani Fluid Sheer #2

Why I like it:

This is probably my favorite highlighter (of course as it’s the most pricey- geez…), but I love this as it’s not overly glittery like some highlighters and it gives such a natural looking glow!  It doesn’t feel oily on my skin and is sheer and light.

I thought it was Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer not Dior! LOL! If I find $60 lying around in my couch somewhere, I’ll pick one up but I don’ t think that’s going to happen, LOL! Still, it’s a great review!

What do you think about Nars blush/highlighter in albatross. Also what about Benefits high beam and low beam? thaks.

Albatross is the BOMB! I got it for my birthday last year with the orgasm blush, it is so flattering and not sparkly at all.

Hi Marlena! Yes please let us know your thoughts on Nars Albatross! I love love the highlighter but was disappointed to see it didn’t make your list – any particular reason?

thanks!

isnt the first one georgio armani?? i was looking for sample but i didnt find one under dior

Heyy Marlena!

I was just wondering, if you mix any of these illuminators with the Revlon Colorstay or any other long- lasting foundation, will it reduce the long lasting factor that it has?

Thank youu! and I love your videos!! :)

Are liquid highlighters more likely to be less shimmery (more shiny) vs. a powder? It seems powders seems to have a more glitter effect sometimes, like the MSF which looks way to chunky especially with my pores :(

oh by the way, i think the sally hansen is only : $9.99 and sold at Rite Aid stores :)

Hey there!

thnx for the tutorial about high lighters really needed that!
i’ve been following you on youtube for just a month or two, love your vlogs

hi! great review video! what is the brand and color of nail polish you have on?! I love it! :)

Where did you get the wallpaper behind you in the video?
I love it! Please tell me.

Cant wait to order your products!

XO Christy

Hi Marlena,

Thanks for the review. I love those MAC Iridescent Powders. Do you find them to be very shiny? I know you said you use them for brides but do they ever show up as a big shiny spot in the photos? Just wondering.

Cheers!

I need to get a new highlighter for when mine runs out. Dang limited edition products and they’re working perfectly the way you want them to just so you can fall in love with them long enough to have your heart broken when they’re unavailable the following season. Phew, that was a mouthful lol

Thanks Marlena for this! Because i have oily skin i don’t think i necessarily require a highlighter.
I was wondering if you had any good tips for oily skin?? I’m still at school. Whenever i go to the bathroom i look in the mirror and my skin looks really shiny and oily, i get quite embarrissed :( I can usually ‘feel’ the oil on my face during the day… it’s not nice :( I do use foundation on a regular basis and use a powder foundation ontop of that to try and ‘soak’ up the oil but it doesn’t seem to work :( it just seeps throughy, yucckkyyy hahaha.
ANy tips would be wonderful. Thank you Marlena for all the hard work you put into your site, you’re a true legend! We love you xxxxxx

Hope you don’t mind me butting in but here’s a trick to try…it’s gonna sound weird, but it REALLY works (+ it’s cheap). Wash & tone your face with your preferred products (I currently use Cetaphil facial cleanser & Neutrogena alcohol-free toner). Then, using a makeup sponge, apply a very light layer of Milk of Magnesia (the original formula-don’t use the flavored), and blend it in very well, wait a minute & then blend some more if necessary (to avoid a chalky look). Then apply your face primer & foundation as normal. I used to get shiny by 10am and went through blotting papers like crazy, but since I’ve been using MoM, I can make it til 5pm and don’t even need to blot.
Here’s a good web link to check out that explains using Milk of Magnesia (MoM) as a way to control oil. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruXbdwRZFn0
Good luck!

Hello Ms. Dance!

Do I have the PERFECT solution (smile). Mary Kay has several products that I have been using for many, many, many years. My skin is extremely oily, and most people think that I am sweating (how embarrassing…that’s my clue to go get rid of the oil).

Okay, now the one thing I think is so very important is the incredible Beauty Blotters ($5.00/75 sheets). These are cute little linen sheets that will instantly take the shine away w/o messing up the makeup. These sheets are great and you just have to try them to believe for yourself.

Next, there is the awesome Oil Mattifier ($15) which is applied under the makeup and lasts up to 8 hours. I usually get oily way before then, so I just add a little over my makeup once or twice during my day after using the Beauty Blotters.

Lastly, Mary Kay has a great skin care line just for oily skin (starting @ $44). Which means the kind of make up best to use is the kind for oily/combination skin (starting @ $14).

Mary Kay has it all!! Just go to my website and click on Skin Care, the go to Specific Needs for oil control.

Feel free to call me with any ?’s.

Thanx for you time.

Hi,Marlena. I love your tutorials.I need your help:

1. Can you tell me your opinion on MAC Prolong wear concealer?

2.what is your favourite highlighter?

Thank you ;)

Hi I love all your videos!! Can you please tell me’ what nail polish you are wearing?? Thanks xxx

Marlena what lipstick are you wearing in this video?? Is it the same one you were wearing in the bronzing video you did a few vids back?
LOVE it! If you could let me know the shade that would be FAB! :)
xx

hi Marlena! luv your job as always!
could you please do a tutorial on how to wipe the brushes off please???
in one single look you need to do that all the time so…
thanks for anything you would do!

Thank you so much for posting this! I’ve been looking for a cheek highlighter for a while now. I actually bought mine a few days before your video came out. I ended up getting Urban Decay’s Cream Highlighter in Moonshine. It’s sooo pretty! It gives your skin an iridescent glow and works on all skin tones. I LOVE it! I’ll be sure to try the other one’s you listed too. Thanks Marlena!

Thanks for the review. I am using the Nars multiple in Luxor. It is wicked smooth and gives a nice shimmer to the cheeks.

TO MY FELLOW MUGS AND MARLENA, LET ME TELL YOU THAT THE REVLON COLORSTAY HIGHLIGHTER IS THE BEST!!! i WAS ON MY WAY TO MAC TO GET THE SKINFIFNSH, BUT STOPPED BY ULTA. I TRIED EVERY HIGH END HIGHLIGHTER THEY HAD AND RECOMMENDED. i SETTLED ON THE TOO FACED CANDLELIGHT. WHILE I WAS BROWSING I WAS DRAWN TO REVLON BECAUSE IT LOOKED SO MUCH LIKE THE MAC ONE. I FIGURED FOR 10 BUCKS I’LL TRY IT. IT IS FANTASTIC. NOT AT ALL GLITTERY, OR VERY SPARKLY. IT REALLY GIVES YOU THAT GLOWY SHEEN THAT LOOKS CLEAN AND SEXY, LIKE JLO, KIM K., IT IS ON MY FAVORITE LIST OF MAKEUP PRODUCTS THAT I OWN. BY ALL MEANS , GET IT.

marlena i LOVE LOVE LOVE every single video of yours, you are very talented sexy powerful woman in charge and beautiful with all your makeup including the highlighters! i must say though that lately ive been dissapointed in the lighting in the videos they really arent doing the makeup, you, or the room justice :\ its actually taking the video down a notch because its like washing it out and not pleasant to look at, just some critiquing! love you still and will still always watch :D

I really wish you had swatches and a bit more info next to each product you have listed here on the site. Its kind of hard to see the colors from the video. Thanks!

thats what im saying, its the lighting :( u used to be able to see the products perfect

Hi Marlena! I was wondering if you could recommend the best MUFE or two MUFE new Uplight Highlighters for someone like me, an NW15. I usually wear MUFE HD foundation in 110 but can use 115 as well. I am dying to try some of these out!! Love your channel, looks and wisdom!! xo

Can you please do a tutorial on the look you’re wearing in this video (if you haven’t already). I really love it! and I could wear it to the office :)

I love your reviews but agree with others, you should photograph for better swatches since you are already doing the review as it is really hard to truly see the color of the highlighter on the video. Thanks for the info.

I’m a big fan of the highlighter that came in Tarte’s Jewelry Box, and I like Revlon’s Colorstay Illuminator too.

OPI also has a shimmery powder that’s tricky to work with, but it’s really nice.

Is there a less expensive alternative to the color “Blankety”? I absolutely love that color!! Thank you! :-)

I love the Revlon Mineral highlighter powder…. Its my absolute fave!!!! Cant live w/o it

Hey Marlena. Your videos are amazing. I was just wondering if you knew any highlighters/illuminators that are cheaper than $10 or $15. My favorite piece of any makeup is in fact the highlighter but they’re all so expensive. :(

Thanks!

Marlena! So glad I found your website and YouTube videos! You make me feel beautiful again – even though I just had a baby and I’m approching 35. Thanks so much, Jolene

Hey Marlena!
In your opinion, which is a better highlighter, MAC mineralize skinkfinish in soft and gentle or the MAC iridescent powder in silver dusk ? I’ve seen you use both, but I’m just curious(:

Hi! In most of her oldest videos she seemed to only use the bobbi brown shimmer bricks, and loved them! Check out her old videos, she talks about them in a little more detail :)

Hi Marlena, Can you pleaseeeeeee do some looks using drugstore brands preferrably BarryM or other drugstore brands which are available in UK, coz many of the brands you use are not available here apart from the high end ones. :( However I absolutely LOVE this look! Great Job! xxx :D
