I wash and condition every 3-4 days (hot & humid here in the summer so sometimes every other day)- using Suave Shea and Almond which is a dupe of Aveda Dry Remedy.

LOTS of loose translucent powder — load it on, – really over do it; after the shadow is applied then you take a brush and knock off the excess.

I use either a dry shampoo (can be used in spots) or the old fashion way (baby powder in a haircolor applicator bottle applied at the roots either in spots or all over and massaged into scap/roots) and then brush it out
