Go crazy with colors: Peacock Inspired Makeup Looks

This week was inspired by MAC Cosmetices new ‘Peacocky’ collection.  Marlena had given the MUG Staff the challenge of making fun dramatic looks to share with you!  We were told to ” Go Crazy” .  So that I did.  :)

The look I created for Katrena was more so inspired by the shape of the Peacocks eyes than the colors of the feathers. I still tried to keep the color essence, with a matte green shadow and a reflects teal, creating an iridescent look.

When I was putting this look together all I knew was what colors I wanted to use for her eyes, but I wasn’t sure how I wanted to arrange them.  It wasn’t until she sat down in front of me that I was able to design a more muted version of the vibrant peacock feather to give her enitre look a retro feel.

This would be my version of the peacock as a whole.  Beautiful, flashy, and absolutely fabulous!  With this look I wanted to go over the top!  From the eyes to the outfit, I didn’t want to skimp on the ultra dramatics.  A special thanks to Fantasy Attic for the costume!

Amanda’s my winner too. She looks amazing in this eyeshadow colour combination. Golden yellowwy one gives her a fresh, shinny air. :)

I wish there was close ups :( specially for the last two. your so talented, even tho your more edgy but then im just too conservative :P nice work! and the pics quality are always amazing too!

This would’ve been more useful and interesting to me if there were links to the high-res photos available.

There are links to larger photos, check towards the bottom of the article. There’s a link to Taryn’s makeup Facebook and a link to Natty J Photography’s website which has a link to their Facebook as well.

All three of them look stunning, but I just looooove the Jaimee’s look! Great job! Regards from Slovenia ;)

I like the third one most of all. The only thing, Amanda has weird eyebrows… I think she’s got to do something with them

Amandas is dooooope! theyre all really artistic and I appreciate te explanation, also the 1st girl in the gown wit the blonde air was magnificent. that bold eye with sophisticated gown looked like a VOGUE magazine page!

    Hello, Taryn !

Each look is beautiful, but the second one is my favorite. It would be great to have a tutorial of it, on second thought, all of them are tutorial worthy. LOL ;)
