Some key steps:
- If you have a rounder face, contouring will help- use a pressed powder that is 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone
- If you have a thinner face, apply blush to just the apples of the cheeks- it will soften your features some
- If you have a warm skin tone, go for peach or gold based blushes. If you have a cool skin tone, go for the pink blushes.
- Using an angled blush brush makes contouring much easier- you want something that isn’t too fluffy

Im 13 and im kind of a medium skin tone color. I’m going to high school this year and i want to start wearing make up but not alot something neutral (i didn’t ever wear makeup). Hi, Marlena i love website and i am also hooked on it and i just love makeup. For everyone outthere i just want to say DO NOT order any brushes from Brush111, they are a fake. It was too good to be true but i ordered them anyway just to see the quality. I ordered the 24pc The brushes are horribe, the eyeshadow brushes the bristles falls out while applying, so all my eye lid was full of hair the 2 times i tried applying. I am going to throw them away dont even bother buying anything from the site.

I never thought to contour with a color so dark, but it does make a huge difference! I can’t wait to try this technique with my make-up tomorrow.
A great alternative to the Bobbi Brown highligher is mark bricks. Check out the little brick box on meetmark.com.
I’m not sure how much the bobbi brown shimmer bricks go for but I know Physicians formula makes this stuff called shimmer strips. They have several shades ranging from bronzy colors to more of pinkish colors. The texture is actually pretty creamy feeling and look a lot like what you held up. They run about 11 dollars I think at drug stores and target and maybe walmart too idk. The one I have goes from a pale pink to a deep bronze it is called Miami Strip / healthy glow bronzer, i like it pretty okay
