OK, I’m 43, and currently as sick with a whooping cough (where I have pulled my abdominal muscles – but they feel torn!!)
Anyway, I used Mabeline Dream Matte Mouse foundation (light) as I’m fair skinned, and used a compact powder to set… I have no idea. It’s been in my bag for years, then lipstick, bronzer and blush, again, they’ve been in my bag for years, I don’t know what their names are… my standard stuff.
For the eyes, which are the focus, it’s fairly natural and matte.
Using Marcelle Nude Attitude shadow quad, I applied just a couple of shades lighter than my skin tone for a wash over my eye lids, and then a couple of shades darker than my skin tone for the crease.
Using Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow (Not Just Nudes), I used the darkest colour to make a wing on the outer part of my eye and just brought it down a touch under the eye too. I used the mid tone for my eyebrows.
I then placed a touch of L’Òreal Infallible Eye Shadow (Hourglass Beige) just on the inner part of my upper lid (with my finger) and allowed that to carry on to the lower lid a bit too… just to light up the inner corner of my eye.
I lined my waterline (upper and lower lids) with L’Oreal Liquid pencil liner in Carbon Black, and added L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes (black).
OK, I’ve tried all kinds of looks, I was looking more for a matte look today, but I find that looking at the colour wheel (from high school art class), look at your eye and hair colour and take the colour opposite of your colours for your eye makeup.
The black is what really brings out the eyes, though.
