First of all, I’m sorry if I’m repeating a question or topic- I’m new..

I have recently had a trial for my wedding make up.  I told the make up artist I’m not big on foundation. She suggested bare minerals and when she had finished my make up was lovely! And I wore it in to the night and it seemed to stay on- great I thought!

However upon reading reviews I noticed people saying on couple of sites that you shouldn’t use this brand for weddings, but I cant seem to find a recent review (all from a couple of years ago) some say its a bad make up for flash photos.  I’m wondering if anyone has used this for their wedding day and if they were happy with the look/ quality and photos?

I got a mac trial too but much preferred the BM look..

    Thanks ladies :)

It really depends on each individuals personal preference. For me, It can become somewhat chalky after a while and can appear that way in photos as well so if you do use it make sure to use a good primer and even a setting spray like UD All Nighter. You do want your makeup to be slightly heavier for the day of your weding for all the many photos and also so it will last a long time. My experience is that while it goes on well, after all day it doesn’t hold up to a regular foundation. It’s good for everyday use but you may want to try something else and then take a pic of yourself in the sun with each foundation on. Then at the end of the day take another photo, this will help you determine how it will wear and which route you want to go. :-)

Hi i agree with leslie i have used bare minerals it was great at first but became very cakey. I’ve also read a lot of reviews online from a lot of resources that mineral makeup is not great for taking pictures and i agree with that, it makes your face very white as if you put too much or can make you look oily.  So it’s up to you but if it was my special day i would airbrush just my face looks very natural and light on your face as though you had nothing on :)
