Urban Decay Cowboy Junkie Set $24

This set is now on sale at http://www.urbandecay.com for $24. That’s a great price for 4 shadows, a travel 24/7 pencil, and a full-size Lip Junkie lip gloss. This would be a good set for someone starting out who’s looking for something a little fun, or for anyone who managed to miss Midnight Cowboy and wants it.

The shadows are the sparkly neutrals, Midnight Cowboy, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, and Midnight Cowgirl, and Romp, a shimmery, deep purple.

Although I’ve got four other Urban Decay palettes, I didn’t yet have the famous Midnight Cowboy. As a glitter whore, it was a requirement that I own it. So, when this palette went on sale, it was a no brainier for me. The colors work well together with the purple they’ve chosen to create and easy, fun, sparkly look.

I hadn’t tried the Lip Junkie gloss before, and I like the minty taste and cooling feel on the lips. The color, Midnight Cowboy, is nothing special, just a sheer wash of nude color with sparkle and shine. However, it does compliment the sparkly eye well.

The only repeats for me were Midnight Cowgirl from Book of Shadows IV, and that stupid Whiskey travel pencil. I liked the pencil the first time I got it, but does it have to be included in every freaking palette? Pick a new color Urban Decay!

As always, Urban Decay rocks and I’m happy with my sparkly new toy!

I actually wish they’d make Whiskey part of the permanent line.

Also, if any UD liner is in “every freaking palette”, I think the honour would go to Zero. It’s been in quite a few.

I agree that Whiskey’s a good color and should be part of the permanent line. I’m simply annoyed that they have put the same pencil in the last 3 palettes I’ve bought. Since this palette was all about the sparkle, why not use Bourbon?

I just bought the Cowboy Junkie set and the Rollergirl palette and they BOTH have whiskey as the eyeliner. I hope I like it=)
