I have been hired as a makeup artist for my friend’s wedding. Her wedding is across the country so I will be flying there. I have a nice train case to stay organized but I will have to check my makeup because I have too many liquids for carry on. I plan to put my train case in my luggage but I am worried about it getting thrown around and my pressed powder products breaking. Any suggestions?

This is the train case I have; http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?skuId=2144208&productId=xlsImpprod3400137&navAction=push&navCount=1&categoryId=cat120128

Cram any empty space with bubble wrap or crumpled tissue paper so things can’t shift around at all.  If it can keep my dishes from breaking during a move it should work for makeup too, right?

I’ve had really rotten luck with checking my makeup, so I would suggest packing all non-liquid makeup in your carry-on and getting something else for the liquids you’re checking.  At least you wouldn’t have to worry about broken powders~
