Ever see something in the drugstore that reminds you of something you have seen in Sephora or on Youtube? I’m talking lower-end products that are identical in purpose but also duplicate packaging of other higher end products. Share your thoughts?

Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish and Hard Candy Plumping Serum: Though not totally obvious, these two are nearly identical in bottle shape. I own both, and while their formulas may not be identical, I like both and use them frequently.

Nars Highlighting/Bronzing Blush Duo in Orgasm/Laguna and Elf Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder: I do not personally own the Nars version, but Marlena said in a recent post that the Elf blush is similar to the shade Orgasm. And it is clear from the packaging and shade choices that their was probably some mimicking going on.

Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Balm and Revlon Color Stay Kissable Balm Stain: As you can see the packaging is basically identical. Only difference is that Revlon claims to be a lip stain while Clinique is only a tinted lip balm. I’m currently on the lookout for the new Revlon balm, which hasn’t quite made its way to my neck of the woods. I’m hoping it will have the qualities the Clinique balm lacked for me (which is lack of colors that can show up on my highly pigmented lips).

Benefit Boxed Blushes and Hard Candy Fox in a Boxes: I do not personally own either variety of blush, but I noticed the similarities in packaging once the Hard Candy blushes hit shelves.

e.l.f.’s packaging, especially within the Studio line, is very reminiscent of high end brands’ packaging. The single pressed eyeshadows and blushes are definitely similar to NARS’ packaging.
