I was just wondering for those girls out there that have a nose piercing- how long did you have to wait until putting a full face of make up on again

i don’t want to do it too early and get an infection!

    thanks guys! :)

I went about my makeup routine as normal the next day…..except I avoided the small area around my piercing. It hurts to the touch.  So you’ll be reminded to avoid it if you happen to touch it. Lol! ….Oh! Be sure to keep your makeup brushes/applicators  clean.  I cleaned mine after every use. This way you won’t be spreading any unwanted bugs to the piercing.

I did my research before I got my piercing and the best advice I got from a fellow mug was to use H2Ocean to the keep my piercing clean and to use titanium jewelry instead of stainless steel.  I never had any trouble with my it.  I washed my face (gently around my piercing) and used the H2Ocean spray to keep my piercing clean and wash away any possible soap residue.  I used the H2Ocean for maybe 2 months.  Now I clean it with facial soap. I hth.

If you can avoid it, of course, that would be the safest option, but if you’re going out and you must wear something, I’d say just apply as usual and use your fingertips to gently pat your foundation around the area. I’d skip the brushes/sponges- in this case they’ll be more irritating as the bristles may work their way under the piercing. As long as you keep your piercing clean before and after, I think you’ll be fine- in fact, a lot of foundations contain zinc oxide, which actually has anti-irritant properties! (FYI, I’ve had my nose pierced for 20 years, and have never had any issues with it :)
