What’s your skintone (i.e., fair, light, medium, dark)? What’s your skintype (normal, oily, dry, combination)?

This may sound silly, but a trick I learned was pinching my wrist, but don’t pinch too hard. The color that appears, that should be the color of blush you should go for. Something close to it.

If you don’t want to do that, usually colors for medium tone skin, you want to go for warm colors, like orange, browns, berry colors. You may get away with some pinkish colors too, but maybe like a warm pink.

    Hope this  helps.

i actually agree with @ladydiglamour. I have medium skin tone too and browns, really light corals, kinda like sun kissed colours look great. Also, subtle pinks are great :)

Thanks for the tip, @ladydiglamour!  I’m definitely trying that the next time I go buy blush.

The wrist trick is a great idea but if you’re like me, the skin on your wrist may not match your face.  What I have done is gently pinch  my cheeks, pat or rub until blood circulates and you can see what your natural color would be.

Marlena has a video explaining which colors work best for each skintone. I hope it helps! :-)
