Hi!  I am going to be moving to Nashville in August and I hear it is really humid.  I am looking for a good foundation and make up that will stay.  I have combination/sensitive skin and eyes so it’s been a challenge to find something that is long wearing.  Thanks for any help.

Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals is an absolute MUST. I have normal/oily skin and it’s the only foundation I can use in the summer that won’t melt off my face. You can simply use a tissue or rice paper to dab off the sweat or oils, and makeup won’t budge.

You may also want to consider changing up your skincare routine. The way your skin reacts to the weather where you currently live may not react that way in a more humid climate. *nods* Just some more food for thought.

I currently live in North Carolina so I feel Tennessee’s pain. I only use tinted moisturizer and concealer (and well duh powder to set it). theBalm BalmShelter TM is fantastic and is better when you’re dealing with southern humidity than any foundation. It’s not a thin TM either, so you’ll get some coverage out of it.

I live in Florida and have combination skin. Humidity is a year round issue.  I’ve recently bought Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation and it is amazing! You don’t need to use a lot and no blotting necessary.

Rikki, What is Balm BalmShelter TM? And do you HAVE to set a tinted moisterizer with powder? If so, will powder to foundation (Cover Girl) work? I’m trying to find something to wear for the summer months in NWI!!
