I tried searching through the forum for a post similar to this, but can’t even find wear to type in a search for the forum, so I thought I’d post.
I have a bride we did a consultation for and she loved everything except our MAC pro-longwear lipstick in Unchanged. She didn’t like the long term feel of the lipstick and wants something else, that will work better.
IS there anything that works better than MAC’s pro long wear??
Looking for any suggestions please and thanks!

May 21, 2012 at 9:30 am #171912I would apply the lip liner all over the lips (I love UD Naked lip liner), apply a satin-type lipstick (one that’s not too creamy) (I love MAC Myth because it changes color with whatever lip liner you’re using) over the lip liner, then apply a dab of a shimmery eye shadow just to the middle top and bottom of the lips (I like UD Sin or Cherry, or MAC Gleam). This will give the illusion of lip gloss and will last through eating & drinking. I always apply my lipstick this way, and it literally lasts me all day.
May 21, 2012 at 10:04 pm #171979I love nailzbykaren’s suggestion of a lipliner! But also a lip primer works really well in keeping your lipstick last for a longtime whether it’s kissing or drinking, whatever. I’ve tried four different lip primers and THE best is Too Faced Lip Insurance. It works so well and my favorite UD lipliner is ozone! It’s a clear so no matter what lip color you use it’ll keep it from feathering and help it to stay in place and am a huge fan of mac lipsticks, but I love makeup for ever lipsticks as well and applying a little bit of an eyeshadow on top of the lips will help it to stay as wel.l But no matter what lip routine you do there’s bound to be some kind of touch-ups that you’ll have to make but if you use both the smoothing and anti-feathering primer, then the ozone it should help. I agree that the pro longwear lipstick does feel a little heavy but stays a lot better than most I love makeup for ever’s lipsticks because they don’t feel heavy and they have great consistency. But I promise if you get the lip insurance primer you won’t regret it, it’s so amazing

will try it out.up until now I haven been using lip lock liquids which dry the lips but do the job quit well. But can be a problem if you don’t apply the right amount.
Funny enough I have never used a lip primer. I will try the Too Faced Lip insurance
