I'm attending a wedding as a bridesmaid. Help on eyeshadows to use, please.

Hi guys! I need your help. I’m going to attend my friend’s wedding in June and she made me her bridesmaid. My dress is color purple and I’m wondering what shades of eyeshadow would match my dress. I don’t want my makeup (especially my eyes) to be too dark and over powering since it’s a wedding I’m just a bridesmaid.

I saw this makeup: http://www.makeupgeek.com/tutorials/golden-brown-look-with-makeup-geek-shadows/ in the Makeup Geek Tutorial Site and I was thinking I could do this on my own and it’s not over powering. I’ll just go mellow on the eyeliner.

Is the bride coordinating anything for you girls as far as makeup? Im getting married soon and I want everyone to look their best. We always hang out and play with looks ect, and all the girls know what im kind of looking for makeup wise. The best thing I can suggest is to ask the bride what she has in mind, and maybe get together with the other maids and they can help you pull something together.
