Using chalk that is typically used for drawing, you wet the hair sections to be chalked using a spray bottle, and then rub the chalk onto the wet hair; let the hair dry. Once the hair is dry, you use heat to set the chalk onto the hair so it does not get onto your clothing. One downfall, what happens when it rains outside? Has anyone ever tried chalking their hair? Your opinion?

We have been experimenting with Hair Chalking at my Salon. For lighter Blondes be careful, the pigment can stain the hair and even with clarifying shampoo a muddy unflattering color can stay up to 2 weeks.Oh and the chalk is visible even on black hair you just have to pack it on.

I never even knew people did this! I’ll have to give it a try.

I never heard of this until I saw a tutorial by Kandee Johnson. I wouldn’t mind trying it, but I’d be scared of the chalks staining my lighter hair. I really like the idea of it!
