I have a problem with finding a foundation for my skin. It´s dry and sensitive  Several foundations make me even dryer and break out :(

I have dry skin (somewhat on the sensitive side) and I find Rimmel’s Renew and Lift foundation works for me. I apply it with a foundation brush and then set with Australis Ready Set Go finishing powder.

I have super dry skin, i recently started using Maybelline’s Dream Smooth Mousse it is so silky soft and doesn’t cake up. I also sometimes use the liquid foundation True Blend by Covergirl because it also doesn’t get all cakey.both are very affordable. i try to stay away from powders because it brings the dry look back and just tends to look blotchy anyways. hope this helps :)

Add a small amount of moisturizer or serum (whatever you use and gives the best result) to the foundation. Make sure both have the same ‘base’ water-based foundation with water-based moisturizer, etc.

I have the same problem.  I have Rosacea with my sensitive skin.  I love Clinique’s “Super Balanced Makeup” foundation.

I wanted to see if I could find a drugstore foundation that would suit my needs, and I’m liking Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin foundation too.  So I’ve been using that for about a month now.  I like it.

Hope that helps a bit.  Good luck.

We don´t have Neutrogena or Sephora in our country… But we do have have Clinique :)

I´ll go to the store and ask for a sample of the Clinique :)

    Thanks :)

If you like Clinique, try Even Better or the new Moisturesurge Foundation. They may be a little pricey. But I think either of these will suit your dry skin. I’ve used them both btw. They are quite moisturizing.

I’m not sure if you have Almay in your country but they make a point of selling hypoallergenic makeup for sensitive skin.  I personally use their Smart Shade foundation because I’m too much of a novice at makeup to pick the right color.  I’ve also used their Truly Lasting Color foundation for when I’m in theatre productions and want my skin to look a few shades darker so I’m not washed out under the lighting.  Both have been good in the sense that they cover well and don’t make me break out or have allergic reactions (which has actually happened to me before).

Also, for those of you discussing Neutrogena foundation, I haven’t tried the HealthySkin but have tried their SkinClearing makeup (with .5% salicylic acid) and haven’t had problems with breakouts/skin drying.

I have the same kind of skin and Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation has changed my life. I apply it with a brush misted with The Body Shop’s Vitamin E Face Mist and it gives  me a virtually flawless look with a satiny finish without clinging to any dry patches.

Most of the foundations you guys have mentioned we don´t have in our country…

Sooo aftur trying out lots of samples of foundation I have bought Clinique Even Better in 03. They did not have it in 02 which is a better match for my skin colour but I can use it in the summertime :)

I like it a lot but the only downside is that it does dry out my dry spots even more… My dry spots don´t seem to be getting better :(
