I’m looking for a cheap pigmented palette for a natural look and smokey look for my eyes. I’ve heard of coastal scents and all the other 88+ palettes but I don’t think I’d use the more colourful colours and also the reviews saying that the colours are highly pigmented may not even be talking about the colours you would use to make a natural look.

Also, since we’re on the topic, can someone suggest a lipstick palette and contour/highlight palette please :)

    Thanks!

CS palettes = BH palettes = the wholesale palettes you can buy for much cheaper on eBay. I’m very skeptical, but I know a few around here, among other places, have used them with success. There is an 88 Neutral palette floating around as well as a 28 Neutral palette. Just do an eBay search.

What I would recommend: Make your own palette. A five-shadow freedom system palette from Inglot will run you $41 USD (five eyeshadows @ $6 each + empty palette for $11) + shipping. (10 shadows ($6 x 10 = $60) and a palette ($16) = $76.) They have a great selection of colours and neutrals. I recommend this over buying a generic palette because you’ll get to choose the colours yourself, meaning you’ll have ones you’ll actually use.

In regards to lipsticks, I’d recommend the same thing. Go to Inglot and make your own. Contour and highlight, I would not recommend doing a palette, because you’ll end up with shades you’d never use; I’d suggest buying separate products. For contour, a pressed powder that’s a couple of shades darker than your skintone will do nicely. For a highlight, go with a shimmery eyeshadow that’s close to your skintone.
