    Hi there:

I have very very pale skin with a good amount of redness. My pores have always been large, therefore I have noticeable blackheads. More recently, I have been having a big problem with whiteheads. They are especially visible when my makeup is completely done. They don’t have heads, but the bumps are visible! Of course, when I squeeze them, the junk will come out but I don’t want to damage my skin. My question is are there any reasonably priced products out there that actually work to remove the black/white head or the junk in them? Any advice?

    Thanks in advance!

Get a blemish extractor; it’s a double-ended tool for this sort of thing. One side is flat for blackheads; the other end is a bit more rounded for whiteheads. Blemish extractors are not very expensive.

If worse comes to worst, you can go to a dermatologist to get them extracted professionally.

get a cleanser with salicylic acid in it, neutrogena is always amazing. and just a random thing im dying to share: use lemon juice as a toner!!! mix it about half and half with water and put it on your face with a cotton ball. it evens out the skin tone like a you wouldn’t beleive!! and its really easy and cheap :) also, dont forget to moisturize because the black heads could be from dry skin getting in the pores (but of course you’ll want to keep the moisturizer oil free)

I know this is pricey…but I love my Clarisonic Mia 2 for this exact problem. I use the acne brush head with some 2% salicylic acid face wash and it definitely helps with the whiteheads.

And for blackheads I’ve been using Biore strips for years and I still love them.

Try the Neutrogena Deep Clean face wash. I had blackheads and whiteheads but within two three days of using this face wash they were starting to disappear! It makes my skin feel really clean and fresh. I have tried many facial cleansers and this the one that has actually worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you too!

I have fair and somewhat sensitive skin and I love Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Wash.  I’ve been using it for years and it has helped clear up my acne without ever once irritating my skin, and I know they have a formula that’s supposed to help soothe redness.
