ok, so im thinking about starting a blog, but theres so many types out there, i dont know which one to go for…not that confident with videoing myself (need a decent camera for that anyway lol which i currently dont have lol), not that great (yet) with the makeup application, but i can review things and say what i think. anyone out there a beauty blogger themselves, or reccommend a good bloggy (preferably free) site to start with?

I can recommend you a free blogging site ~ http://wordpress.com (I know a lot of people prefer Blogspot, but I’m personally not as familiar with it as I am with WordPress.)

Blogger (Blogspot) and WordPress.com would be the most popular free blogging platforms. I would suggest Blogger for three reasons . . .
    1. Blogger doesn’t require any additional fees to customise the design, you can customize both CSS and HTML (WordPress only allows CSS with a fee), as well as being able to use third party scripts to add additional functionality to your blog (WordPress doesn’t allow third party scripts).
    2. There’s countless websites that offer free Blogger designs you can easily download and use.
    3. It’s cheaper to buy a custom Blogger design, a lot cheaper.

Why do I mention so much about design? Because while content is king, design is the visual people will come to associate with your blog and the brand you build to go along with it. Having a good blog isn’t just about having good content, it’s about being able to communicate that content effectively and in a memorable way, which is where design comes into play.

Also, I’m moving this to the Chat About Life section.

Agreed. I looked into WordPress at first but I am completely computer stupid and couldn’t figure it out. I had no issues at all with blogger.
