You know what I'm incredibly bad at?..Winging eyeliner

How the heck do you guys do it? I can't flick it and when I do it become asymmetrical.
What's the trick?

Hey der! I know exactly what u mean, I couldn't do it either but since I watched a you tube video on it, I've gotten really good at winging eyeliner. You have to check out xxsgtigressxx, she has a video on how to use eyeliner and wing it out. Hope that helps! good luck!

I hear ya, I'm not good at it either... I think my main problem is that my eyes are shaped differently, so even when I use the same technique for both, they don't match... I have found that using a black shadow lately (MUG Corrupt, cuz it's super-black) and a very small angled brush (Sigma E65) have made it a little easier, although I'm still not doing very dramatic wings just yet... Guess I'll build up to it!

Mine never completely match because my eyes also have different shapes. One lid is flat and the other one is more round. The only trick I use is to draw the line from the outer corner of the eye and point it towards end of my eyebrow, and always after my eyebrows are filled in.

Maybe try to make a line with the pencil first. I guess, the pencil should not be very dark, too.

You could try the tape trick, and if you don't really want the line to stay super-defined you can smudge it out a bit. Most of the time I've seen it in tutorials, it's to do a really defined cat-eye, but it helps me stay symmetrical even doing a slightly winged look.
