Could you do a eye make up tutorial for assymetric or uneven eyelids?

Marlena, I was wondering whether you can make a tutorial for a gym makeup. I know it sounds i bit weird, but I think a lot of us go to gym and we don't want to look ugly while doing exercise :D And plus we get sweaty and all the makeup just goes off... I know probably it's not healthy to wear makeup while you're making exercise because your skin needs to breathe, but maybe you can recommend anything just to stay more pretty ;)

I 2nd this! I'd love the eye type tut.s to be done on models with that type of eye. I'm most interested in the small eye/little lid space kind of eye (hooded?) Luv u Marlena!

Tutorial on how Marlena clean make up brushes

Postby UbyGurlyAubrey on Mon Nov 29, 2010 11:33 am

Hello Marlena,

My question is how many times a week do you deep clean your brushes? Do you spot cleaning them everyday? Can you make a tutorial on how you clean your brushes? I honestly deep clean my brushes every single day with antibacterial dishwashing liquid and extra virgin olive oil (according to Michelle Phan's video on how to clean brushes), however, probably because I do it everyday, the hair of the brushes started to fall down. Also, I deep clean my brushes just because I do not want to have acnes created by dirty brushes. So, can you please please explain this in your next tutorial video? and demonstrate how you clean your brushes? Thank you!!!!!

Hello Marlena,

First I'd like to tell you your site is great. I used some of your tutorials when going to parties, clubs etc. Keep on the good work.
I'd like very much some advices regarding 19th century make-up. For New Years Eve I'm going to a masked ball, and I have no idea what type of make up to ware considering I'll be wearing a mask, too. My outfit is a 19th century one (red and silver). I did not post a message on the "request a tutorial", since I've seen a picture needs to be posted, too, and unfortunatelly I don't have any.
Some advice would be very helpful, a tutorial even better, though I know that is much to ask.

Thank you.

Hi! I am new here. Have been enjoying your Youtube videos and have been subscribed to them for a few months now. I have been looking for a good brow video for a friend. I am happy with my brows though I'm sure I could always use some more help. My friend has over plucked and now her brows are too short. I have searched for a good video on brow plucking and makeup application and have yet to find one that I feel comfortable having her watch. I believe Marlena is one of the most professional and yet practical makeup professionals on the web. She has the ability to encourage people to do things that perhaps they might not try otherwise and to do it successfully. Please consider doing this tutorial as a public service to many out there who struggle with this.

I think a tutorial on every race and what colors with best with different skin tones would be great.

Hi Marlena,

I´m new to the site and let me tell you, I have learned tons!! You have a fan down in Panama City, Panama!!

I would love to see a tutorial on different types of makeup (foundations and such...) that are good for tropical/high humidity climates.

Panama has very high humidity and most makeup will not last half a day! Can you suggest anything for us, oily/combination, fair to dark latin complexions??? HELP!!!

Marlena,
I am a big fan. You have inspired me everyday. Thank you for all the great looks and ideas, and for bringing more colors to my face, it used to be just plain brown eyeshadow.
I enjoyed your soda inspired looks. I was thinking it would be great to do some NFL football team colors. Something fun for a football game, tailgating, or superbowl party. There is so many teams to choose from too, but maybe at least whatever 2 teams play the superbowl.
Thanks
Sarah

I really really love the way your do your mke up! It's always very beautiful. I like dramatic makeup, but I'm still in school so I don't want to wear dramatic make up to school. So, I want to see the colors mythology and pink venus in a video demonstration. They don't really have to be together because I don't really think they go together. I want to see them used in a very natural way. Both of these colors are MAC colors.

I would really love to see what you would create for the Burlesque movie. Especially in the dramatic way that Christina A. wears makeup.
